People hating in comment section for Riot making card game. Have you even looked up some information about what Riot is doing? They've announced a card game, FPS game, ARPG, fighter game and are starting an animated series. So before shitting on someone that they aren't making exactly what you want at least look up if they really aren't...
Yes kids, this is just Heartstones. Except, you know, the leveling up system, offense/defense mechanics, the fact that they don’t have randomized card packs. Practically Heartstone yeah.
What about the health system being incredibly different to allow aggro to Still shine with the game’s different mechanics? Or the lack of random targeting? Or the ability to do something on your ‘opponents turn’? Or the combining of types of cards rather than making an almost purely filler neutral set and limiting each class to their set of class cards only? The weakening of passive on board effects to go with the lesser amount of removal that makes said cards easier to keep on the board?
Because MTGO card can't be nerfed, have a bad new player experience (all those cards and expansion) and very pricey. This game have limit on how much pack a player can buy with real money, card you unlock by playing, and being a new game with no expansion it will be friendly to new player (which can change in the future as expansion will be released).
This seems like its gonna be like super fun. The art is great as well, i just dont like how everything else looks in general, cards are small, board looks meh, why doesnt every game look like Shadowverse yet?
Game is subjected to changes and is still in Alpha/Beta. Before adding all the fancy stuff, I guess they wanna make sure the basic fundamentals are working smoothly.
well, in the full Riot fashion, all the pretty stuff will be on sale for money. they already said that they plan on having different "pets" and boards in store later on.
I’ve looked into it a bit and assuming you mean archetypes as in types of decks... there is temmo shroom control, fiora dueling with barriers, spider aggro, OVERWHELMING POROS!!!, ephemeral revival/ephemeral aggro, copying a minion that buffs future versions of itself, mana ramp, the elnuk brigade of death, deck buffing, hand buffing, spell slinging, discarding, top decking (empty hand) aggro, small minions big spells, Lucian doing Lucian things, summoning an army and killing it off to fuel a big thing, shadow isles control, yasuo one shoting the entire board, DEMACIAN JUSTICE! (Now with buffs), noxians don’t care who’s turn it is to attack, and quite probably a lot more
@@phoenixjones2569 Those are more like names of decks than types of decks. Archetypes would just be aggro, control, combo, tempo, mid-range, prison, and other subdivisions like combo control. The card names are unimportant, it's their function that matters.
From what I've seen so far some decks look really busted. Unlike Hearthstone you cant kill off threats without a spell it seems, so you're free to stack up passive bonuses. The lack of aoe removal also makes it so that it's really difficult to turn a game around when the enemy has gotten the upper hand..
Mikhail K-Popper challenger minions (ones that drag enemies out to fight) and an actually fair amount of removal (both temporary and permanent) along with a general weakening of passive effects in comparison to similar games makes it honestly pretty fair. The enemy in this case was using what seemed like a pretty aggressive deck which would have recalls as their main removal (if you play hearthstone think sap) but the recall cards they get are kind of expensive, but that’s kind of what happens when you play an aggressive deck with minion stuns as your main defense, you lose to spell aggression and on board effects.
There is skill and luck m8, skill is knowing what cards to play at what time and building your deck to accomplish a certain goal, and knowing how to make your deck achieve that goal. The luck obviously comes down to what cards you draw. Think of it like a league of legends match, where you have skill in how you play your character the calls you make in the match and things like that, but there is luck in who you’re matched with, who your matched against, random crits and elemental drakes. Also luckily this game is built a lot like MTG rather than hearthstone so it’s not highly reliant on luck
Solo queue is basically a coin flip. Crit Chance is basically to "chance" Predicting is also gambling. Heck lotsa things are up to luck, you just learn to deal with it and gamble it right.
No skill??? Lmao, Mobas, fighting games, FPS games, MMOs all games requires luck even basketball, boxing and other physical games requires luck too. Strategy in this kind of game starts from picking your region and building your deck, some card games like hearthstones depends on money you spend though. But this one is more free to play freindly.
Chris Jones more like MTG then hearthstone, especially with the combining of deck types/classes/manas/whatever you wanna call them. It’s got its own unique stuff to it too that I’m excited to try out
People are getting mad of heartstone because blizzard is 5% owned by a chinese company. Riot releases a card game owned 100% by a chinese company crickets. Lol
*says the large amount of people leaving hearthstone who can’t get into the now quite veteran yugioh, Pokémon tcg, or MTG communities, and the large amount of people who want to give these types of games a try but can’t due to the overwhelming amount of time other ones have been around
Yes RIOT has history with their games flopping, just like League did just like TFT did or even Meachs vs Minions, they all flopped right? brain dead sheep grow up.
Companies could have ideas for an actual Multiplayer Action RPG where you create your character from different races, choose your elemental powers and something else. Still they make a rotten card game. 👏👏👏
