My first time there was a month after it opened in June of 1989 and I remember loving the backlot tour. Park has definitely grown into a better experience but I’ll always be nostalgic for the MGM days, even if Eisner totally did Universal dirty by getting it open first!
Star Tours is one of my favourite rides at Hollywood Studios and it has a few different versions, so it's not always the same. In terms of shows at Hollywood Studios you've got Fantastic in the evenings and Beauty and the Beast throughout the day. Universal does have the Bourne Stuntacular which is a mix of LED screens and actors. I enjoyed it last year.
@@KalEL224 I 100% agree. I was only a kid before that one closed, but I remember and have seen videos. After Covid though, and since they updated it. This one is better
@@geoschilling lol. No. Fantasmic in Disneyland is heads and tails above Hollywood studios. Especially once they revamped it back in 2018 (first time I saw it). The fact it’s on the rivers of America, it includes the Columbia, the maleficent dragon was soooo much better. Sadly she caught fire and now they got to revamp the show. The dragon at HS is littler a dolly crane covered in fabric, no Columbia scene, no Aladdin scene. This one is a pale imitation.
Agree with below. Beauty and the Beast is a wonderful show at HS and Festival of the Lion King and Nemo at AK is amazing. Love watching you guys at Disney.
I agree. as much as I love indy, festival of the lion king at animal kingdom is a fantastic live performance show. The ending always gets me smiling ear to ear
Love Hollywood Studios especially Star Wars... but also came to say can't believe you mentioned Sparta ..that's like 30 minutes north of us!!! Never been to the drive in though but know exactly where you are talking about 😊
Tyler if you did not like star tours, then stay far away from Mission Space at Epcot. 10:28 Man that girl can dance!!!! 16:24 😱😆😂 Anna I was recently at the Magic Kingdom at closing and it was still packed. The early reports of Disney's dimise have been greatly exaggerated.
Haha we did the less spinny version a while ago and he was fine! I wanted to do the hard version, but Tyler said no :( lol and agreed about the reports! I’m sure their attendance is down, but it’s not empty 😂
@ThePughTwo well i feel for tyler. I do have a question if ypu have time. Does he get sick on harry potter and forbidden journey? I hadn't done in a long time and it gets me now. I did Saturday and yeah...not a fan any longer...
Went to Hollywood Studios yesterday as well. We were staying at the hotel, so got the LL for Millenium Falcon and Rise, then rope dropped Runaway Railway. Did Galaxy's edge, then worked counter-clockwise doing muppets, star tours, and 12 noon Indiana Jones. Did the entire park by 1 pm!
Oof yeah Star Tours is ROUGH, so when Tyler said he broke out in cold sweats, I 100% understood cause it happened to me the one time I rode it. I was 16 when I rode it and now I’m 42 and still remember it lol. I love watching y’all experience Disney! Glad y’all had such a great day.
When you all get back to Animal Kingdom. Give the Nemo show a look see. Physical show. Also back at Hollywood studios get in to 50s prime time Cafe. Foods good and its fun. Than you guys for all you do.
I’m getting such a thrill from watching you guys do all of this for the first time. I remember all my first times doing what you did in this video 😊. Wonderful memories, definitely boosted by your own excitement! Hope you both loved it as much as I did all those years ago
DHS is my favorite Disney park! Hopefully, you get to ride Rockin' Roller Coaster soon. Tyler predicting Anna's meal perfectly 🤣❤ And Anna calling out the ppl who said the wait times wouldn't be that bad 😂
I thought “Oh no! Tyler is going to get sick on Star Tours!” When you guys said you didn’t know what that ride was. I wanted to tell you but I couldn’t.🤣
The strawberry hibiscus soda is so good! I got that and the charcuterie board both days I was in HS on my last trip. When we sat inside, the bartender gave us a free refill too!
Yup. If you get sick on the Simpsons, you will get sick on Star Tours. Since the ride is based on a center axis, you get more movement the further from the center of the vehicle you sit. It looked like you were on the back and to the side - which is the worse as far as actual distance moved up and down and side to side. Love watching you guys explore the parks. Watching the amazement in your eyes is priceless.
lol the fact that Tyler can’t remember the grand opening of Indiana Jones out in Disneyland and Anna wasn’t even born yet makes me feel super old lol. I remember it opening and my grandmother brought me the Disneyland magazine with it on the cover lol.
Tyler you remind me of my son-in-law, he also can tell you what my daughter is going to order. That is because you two complete each other. My oldest daughter Caitlin was so excited that you two love Tom and Jerry, she is a very big fan of them two. My son-in-law got pick for the Indiana Jones show it was such a great experience it made his vacation. Thank for the great video 🎉
Oh my gosh, we didn’t realize they took volunteers for Indiana Jones! That’d be so cool! And yes, Tyler knows me too well 😂 I’m so predictable with food and yes I still have the glowy ice cube lol
@@ThePughTwo They take three or four people from the audience to different things during the performance. I was picked one time and got to die dramatically on stage. So much fun, you two would be great if you were picked.
Ohhhh no, it seems like the Star Wars ride should have been the last thing because Tyler didn't seem the same afterwards 😟. Anna was still hyped up and vibrant throughout the video which will always be adorable 😊! I need to get back there because I was living my best life during the Frozen sing along show 🤣 plus so much new stuff has been added since we've been! I know you guys love Universal but I love when you go out and spread your wings....the new experiences are fascinating!!!! Last but not least...are those prescription glasses with magnetic shade covers?! Did I hear that right because I need some lol. I ripped my contacts back in June lol so basically no shades for me lately. I need those in my life!
Haha yeah we need to start researching rides so Tyler doesn’t get sick, poor thing! Lol we’re having so much fun exploring Disney, too! And YES! I got them from the website cliclime. It was served up as an ad on instagram and I was 50% sure it was gonna be a scam 😂 I have some weird side effects from all the treatment I’ve been through, namely one of my eyes watering like crazy anytime I get hot, so contacts don’t work in the parks. I got prescription sunglasses, but every time we went indoors I couldn’t see! These are the perfect solution, and I got 2 pair for less than $100!
@@ThePughTwo I am going to have to look into those. They are too cute and I always feel like I never can get the cute glasses because of my strong prescription. For the longest I couldn't wear contacts and even though I can now, I've run into a few problems with them.
Such a fun restaurant at Sci Fi. An love Tom and Jerry. Would always watch it with our family cat growing up. Next time you go there try to find parts to the formal largest Hidden Mickey there. So many people don’t even notice it.
I want a video where you do all of the shows in Hollywood Studios. You've already seen Indiana Jones and Fantasmic. But you still need to see Beauty and the Beast, Frozen Ever After Sing Along, Muppet Vision 3D, Lightning McQueen, Mickey's Vacation Shorts, the Disney Jr. Dance Party, and the two projection shows on the Chinese Theatre. When the rides have long lines, you can always find a fun show to watch.
The Frozen Sing a long show is hysterical! It is not just for kids...Beauty and the Beast near Tower of Terror is live. Sadly the little mermaid is not around anymore. Have fun!
Rockin roller coaster is worth the wait. Next time you’re on the west coast you have to see Rogers: The Musical at California adventure. I have a funny feeling it’ll be sticking around for a while.
The glow cube!!!! My husband and I have been married for 7 years. I got my glow cube on our Disney Honeymoon. It’s still going strong!!!! It’s the “boo-boo” ice cube for the kids. Because it glows, it calms them down LOL- BEST MONEY I’VE EVER SPENT!!!
Omg, that’s awesome!! That just reminded me of the little “boo-boo” thing my mom had for us when we were little. It was a bunny that you put a piece of ice in so it wasn’t too cold lol. I haven’t thought about that in YEARS. That’s adorable!
I love your videos and your Disney ones just make me smile because of your excitement and joy! I’m going to my first HHN this year, I can only make one night…but your videos are appreciated!
Oooh I got excited seeing a new video thinking it was the September video for Universal 😂 We will be going to Disney for our first ever trip end of Jan for my special needs son 16th birthday! I'm so glad you all do Disney vids now too. My favorite theme park people!🎉
Frozen and beauty and the beast, in hollywood studios, are also physical shows. Little mermaid use to be a live show which they have now closed. Also in universal orlando, Borne is a live action show as well which is AMAZING!! :) they still exist but maybe not as much as they use to.
I love Sci-Fi Dine In! My favorite repeat restaurant in Disney World… I love Cinderella’s Royal Table and Be Our Guest too, but those aren’t repeat places for me.
We are planning on eating at Woodys Rodeo Roundup in September. I still have never eaten at Sci Fi Drive In. But I have eaten at Prime Time Cafe. Try that place. I think yall will love it. I also wish yall could've seen the studios park with all of the original attractions as it was back in the 90s. It was a much better studios park back then.
We love Star Tours! But it's way too intense if you sit on the back! Maybe next time try the middle! So sad that you guys didn't get to go ride the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, that's the park that Genie+ really helped us a lot, it's a bummer that the prices change now, but it was so worth it! Also, There's a Lion King show at Animal Kingdom that's pretty fun :)
Tyler, get the Relief Band! I wear it on rides at WDW and Universal and I don’t get motion sickness. I recently had my granddaughter use the Relief Band while riding in a car (she gets extreme car sickness). For the first time in years, she did not get sick! Also, people going through chemotherapy use the Relief Band as well. You will thank me!
He takes Dramamine when he knows there’s something he might get sick during, we just didn’t do our research beforehand lol. We learned the hard way! That’s good to know about, though! Thank you!
Yay ❤ I love Hollywood and we missed Indiana because we missed the last show so next time we’ll try to catch them 😅 also the tv/screen in the sci-fi restaurant kinda reminds me of the cabana bay one in the bayliner diner 😜 but I really like that park so I hope you had a good time!! 😊❤ also the food there is always really good in Hollywood studios! 😋
In my own opinion, Genie+ is always worth it, even on days that aren't supposed to be busy. Some Disney lines can get ridiculous for what seems like no reason, so I'm always okay with spending a little for the 2 of us to have that line skip option. But also we aren't local so can't go whenever, and have never really had a chill day in a park before.
Yeah any time we plan on doing a lot of rides, we get genie plus. We almost did that morning, but it was a Tuesday so we felt like it would be okay lol.
Animal Kingdom has two really good live shows! The Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: Big Blue and Beyond! Lion King is in my opinion the best show in Disney and is one of the best theme park shows of all time! Hollywood Studios has a Disney Junior live show, but I’m not sure if that is a priority for you guys. There is a really good dinner show at the Fort Wilderness hotel called the Hoop De Doo Musical Revue! It is a dinner show and it is so much fun! EPCOT also has a bunch of live entertainment around the World Showcase! I’m not sure where you can find the exact times on the app, but cast members can probably help you out. I hope you guys had a great day!
We saw Lion King and it was so good!!! We loved it we need to visit some of the Disney hotels to check out everything they have to offer, too. There’s just so much to do and see at Disney! Lol
"Children of the corn" is the absolute worst movie ever made. I saw it in the theater when it first came out. A real drive in you need mosquito incense, tune your radio to the movie sound, and there is nothing like the concession commercials! Beauty and the Beast. Fantasmic! For Disney Merch go to World of Disney at Disney Springs at Christmas time and they usually have a section of the store selling this years merch (anything that says 2023) at MASSIVE DISCOUNTS. I did all my holiday shopping there one year and my family was thrilled to get Disney Merchandise.
Star Tours makes me so sick too! It's just like The Simpsons ride at Universal, same awful feeling! But really love Hollywood Studios, especially Rise of the Resistance:)
If you guys are looking for a Drive-in to check out, there’s one in Ocala. I know it’s a bit far from the parks, but its a cool place to experience the old fashioned style drive-in! It’s called the Ocala Drive-In.
Awww so adorable 🥰. Sorry y’all struck out on the rides. Stoney clover has a ton of great Disney Fanny packs and you can customize them with cute patches 😊😊
The predicting what Anna was gonna get was pretty cool haha. Also just wanted to let y’all now there’s a typo in the description of the vid… if you care to change it. “Start tours”
OMG NO that's not the only show at Disney you guys! 😅 There's a beauty & the beast full show in Hollywood Studios! And there's an even better show at Animal Kingdom: it's the lion king show! The lion King show is the best show at Disney and a must see! 😢❤😊
Hi Anna & Tyler! Anna, so how much does Tyler embarrass you when you eat out? Can you take him anywhere where he doesn’t make a mess? 😂 Your trip to the Sci-Fi Drive-In Diner brought back memories of my last family trip there and the place hasn’t changed. Actually getting back to Tyler and his messy eating habit’s, the next time that you go to Hollywood Studios, you have eat at 50’s Prime Time, the waitresses will keep him in line! 😂😂😂😂. Anna, you are correct, they are moving away from them because of the physical cast is more expensive than a projector. That is why I loved that Universal did the Bourne Stunt Spectacular to replace Terminator. I also loved that how you called people The way you did was so cool! Liar’s! Sorry that you didn’t get to ride any of the rides you wanted or found that fanny pack. Thanks for taking us along on your day! Ken
Hi Ken! I’ve gotten used to it at this point, and gotten much better at doing laundry! 😂 prime time is on our list to try next, it looks so fun!! We still had a fun day. We should’ve known genie + was necessary honestly lol
awww, I'm with Tyler on Star Tours...I'm a Star wars fanatic, and the scenes in that ride are so awesome, but it makes SO, SO sick every time I ride. If they'd just pump in some AC, that would help! hope y'all get on RnRC very soon!
So fun fact… When Sci-Fi debuted, the servers wore roller skates! When I worked at ABC Commissary I believe they had moved to rollerblades😂. This was in 2003. The restaurants are right next to each other, so we shared the same break room. I was only there for about a month and then I moved over to Hollywood & Vine/ 50s Primetime (which you need to eat at next!) such a fun atmosphere!
For your next adventure at Disney, I would love to see you two do a character dining experience. All of the Pooh characters are at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom and the Fab Five are at Garden Grill (rotating restaurant) in The Land Pavilion at Epcot. There is also Princess Dining in multiple places. The list goes on and on. You get to sit and eat and get amazing character interactions as they work their way around the restaurant. Beats waiting in hour long lines for them individually at the regular meet and greats. And since you mentioned shows, have you seen The Beauty and the Beast Show. I know it's cheesy as can be, but it always brings a tear to my eye. And the Frozen Sing-a-long is a heap of fun because of the comic narrators, They keep it for fun the adults too. And of course, its the one place on this earth where you are encouraged to sing "Let it Go" at the top of your lungs. You two are so much fun!
Now you need to hit Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival. And while there don’t forget to go to Space 220. I recommend only getting LOUNGE reservations. You sit in the bar but it’s a lot cheaper. Get an alcoholic beverage!
It makes me sad that Tyler got sick on Star Tours. I'm like Anna I absolutely loved it, especially when I rode it for the 1st time back in 1999. You two are a great pair. Seeing that Tyler knows you so well that he knew exactly what you'd order at Sci-fi. Never been myself, but always wanted to go. Also back in 1999 they had the original stuntman from the movie doing the show. He was amazing. So glad I subscribed to your channel you guys rock!!!
Haha he nailed it! That part was so funny for me watching it back. It was so cute! That’s awesome about the Indiana jones show! I’m sad we didn’t get to see it originally. And thank you! We really appreciate it!
