Thank you for highlighting this video! I enjoyed the technique, it is a new one to me. I like the "no mess" aspect, and it creates an interesting, beautiful, background. I hope your evening at work went well.
Watching the replay from New Lenox Illinois. Have seen this technique before, but never tried before. You've made this look relatively easy...got to try this soon!
Hi Lisa! Watching the replay Friday afternoon~~~w/water, no coffee like in my morning routines!! Haha! :-) ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS DESIGN! I’ve ALWAYS like the Bokeh Technique and YOUR POST IT NOTE CIRCLES = AWESOME IDEA!!! Definitely less messy than w/the Craft Ink AND I LOVE the “inking over the circles” w/the Blending Brushes! SO VERY SOFT n’ PRETTY CREATIONS! The color palette is LOVELY! It is really an easy design but what a WOW!! Of course, the BEAUTIFUL RIBBON & WINK make it just so extra-pretty! I really like the Mesh Ribbon for wintry cards, too! NEAT w/the SNOWFLAKE which is so pretty colored as well! :-)). With your color palette here, I think the WHITE GLIMMER RIBBON w/somewhat of an Irridescent shimmer would be so pretty, too! LLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEE IT! TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! Sending SMILES from a chilly Madison, WI w/snow flurries! :-))))))))))) Have a great evening! :-)
Hey Judith!! Thanks so much! I was really excited about this card. I loved how it turned out. I tried the shimmer ribbon too but I liked the mesh one better. The shimmer ribbon is hard to tie into a small bow. It’s really stiff. I debated using the punches but it’s so much easier than using the dies. Have a great weekend!! Doing 10 cards again tomorrow!
@@stampingwithlisa You are so very welcome, my friend! I LOVE HOW IT TURNED OUT, too! JUST SO STINKIN’ COOL! (And “easy fun”! Gotta love that!) I have the shimmer ribbon, too, but haven’t used it (thought it could look pretty w/your design n’ palette) and I REALLY APPRECIATE your info on tr ying! :-) I DO LOVE THE METALLIC MESH! :-) I WAS HAPPY to see ALL of the punches (contraband COULD be incorporated ~~haha!!) and lots of your viewers are “seasoned n’ most likely, w/these” while you also suggested using Circle dies! :-). Hey, Girl, I’m ALL IN for PUNCHES! TOTALLY THE BEST for SO MANY needs! DO LOVE DIES, too, but a tad more “time n’ work” consuming! Anyhow, I DO LOVE, LOVE THIS TECHNIQUE n’ DESIGN! GIRL, you give me SO MANY TERRIFIC IDEAS! Thanks, SMILES n’ HUGS….from Madison! :-)
I haven't tried this technique before but it looks very interesting and it's got me wanting to try it. Thank you for sharing your time and your craft with me ❤️
🎶LOVE IT🎶 🎶LOVE IT🎶 🎶 LOVE IT 🎶 I always liked the BOKEH TECHNIQUE, but like you, I didn't like the idea of the messy pigment ink. I tend to stay away from techniques that make a big mess, or that I can lay my arm in, or get all over my clothes, etc...but your technique looks super clean and easy! I'll have to try it. It was good to see your pretty smiling face this evening. Did you know that your eyes smile when you smile? It just lights up your whole face. Hubby and I are both veterans and went to Applebee's for the free Veteran's dinner today. Then we finished the day shopping to fill our Operation Christmas Child boxes. It was a great day. We rarely eat steak, not bc we don't like it, but beef wreaks havoc with my cholesterol, and since my Dr is on me about my weight, I chose the lowest calorie meal on the veterans dinner menu, which was sirloin steak, steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes, and we added a side salad to it. It was Soooo delicious!!! I didn't realize how much missed eating a good steak! 😋 It was so good! Well, I guess I'll see you Saturday? Can't wait to see what you have in store for us. Have a very blessed weekend Lisa, you deserve it! Hugs! 💖
Hi Denise! You are so sweet! I’m so glad you like my version of the bokeh technique. I’m glad you enjoyed your free dinner at Applebee’s. Thanks to you and your husband for your service. See you Saturday!
Love it 💕 Love it 💞 I like these cards where you don't immediately see how they are made. Great effects! I'll have to try it, but I can't keep up with copying all your great ideas!
Thanks so much Anja!! ❤️❤️. I know. I’m having a hard time coming up with enough projects for 3 videos a week. Lol! I might have to cut back a little bit. I’m getting behind on other things. I can’t believe Christmas is around the corner. I haven’t done anything yet. Some of my friends have already put trees up and lights too. Crazy. I love doing videos but they do take a lot of time. I need to make my Christmas cards too. I need to clone myself about 3times. Lol!
@@stampingwithlisa I feel the same way - I haven't done anything for christmas too. And I can't get creative on command either - the best ideas come to me when I have time. But my next days off are the Christmas holidays.
I have the same problem. I’m usually only off on the weekends so I try to make as much as I can then. I’m just barely keeping up though. I really need to quit my full time job. Lol! Just health ins is so expensive in the US I can’t afford to. Plus we have the worst president ever right now and prices for everything are going up like crazy and we have shortages everywhere. The vaccine mandate is insane too. People are losing their jobs and everywhere is already short handed. Is it like that in Germany?
@@stampingwithlisa Unfortunately yes! The prices are rising for everything and many things are missing in the shops. The covid numbers are rising but there are a lot of crazy people who don't want to bei vaccinated. There ist a lack of nursing staff in the hospitals. There ist a lack of staff everywhere. I work part-time but there is so much to do. I actually like my job but it's very busy and I'm not the youngest anymore. I'm happy to have a balance in card making.
We are very short staffed too and people keep quitting because we are so over worked. I would quit in a minute if I could. We are doing so much more for the same pay but the prices are going up really it's like we are making a lot less than we used to but they are not giving raises out.
Love this way of doing bokeh! You could do same thing by punching or die cutting shapes (like snowflakes) instead of the circles and applying in the same way:)
Lisa I don’t know how to say it either but do say it like you!!😁. This is Suzie from jersey who transplanted her weft to spring hilll florida🥰🦩🌻I love you ideas only second video of your I have ever seen I need to watch them all!!🥰💗🦩🌻
Awe Lisa, thank you so much for your kind words re Military, I am a Canadian Veteran and soooo proud of it 🇨🇦. Your cards are amazing! I need to do more with my inks can you come and assist me lol. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cards and wonderful techniques 😊
Thanks so much Brenda! And thanks so much for your service. I’ll be over to your house in just a minute! Lol! If only we could blink and zap ourselves somewhere in an instant. Lol!
I'd been wanting to try this technique and so glad I waited until viewing your video this morning! This would be a fantastic background to produce several at once, no sentiments, vrs colors, and put in my stash for that "I need a card NOW!" situation.
What a great way to do this technique! I’ve always wanted to try it but didn’t like the mess with the other methods. Your cards are beautiful--I love the color combination.
Beautiful card. Like you have been stamping for a while and have all my circle punches, will put them to use. When am I going to have time to make all these cards!!!
Gorgeous card!! I've always loved this technique. I've always said boke-uh but when I look up how to pronounce it they say boke-kay. Apparently it's a Japanese word. I prefer the way you do this technique also. I usually don't shy away from messy, but this way is much quicker & easier.
