This is the most gorgeous art haul unboxing, filled with handmade watercolors, handmade ceramics and drawing pigments. The colors are stunningly beautiful, vibrant and organic. They truly remind me of Italy itself. The drawing pigments feel delicious on paper and can be used with watercolor with a gum arabic drawing medium. It is the best art haul I have done so far and I am so excited to use these supplies. I might give myself a challenge of using them daily for one whole month. I have A. Gallo on my April 2024 art wish list, top of my list in fact. Do watch the second half of the video as I swatch the colors. Just so sumptuous! Let me know in the comments what your favorite was. Hi Sharon, I will try to either play with it this weekend or after my Alaska trip since you are interested. I’m a beginner artist so not sure how I can review it- but I guess I’ll compare to water and alcohol.

I still haven’t heard about the job! I’m trying to just let it be. I’m proud I haven’t bought art supplies in over a month because if I keep buying I’ll run out of a wishlist ! And how sad that would be!

That will never happen…. I’ve been buying for 2 years now since I started as a beginner like you…. and yet every video I watch I see new things to keep adding to my wishlist on my iPad. I’m on a buying freeze too at the moment because I haven’t even used 1/6th of what I’ve bought…. But I still watch videos eagerly 😂

I have so many watercolors…..but the A Gallo ones are my favorite! I have the Naturelle set and use it always!

Have you tried a damp brush on the stones to see if you can use them as watercolors?

No, I haven't! But when I unpack them again after my move, I'll give that a try. I do imagine, like pastels, I can put them on paper and use water, alcohol or that drying medium to smush them around.
