@jymoo1727 thanks! In fact I saw another video saying this version is also compatible with switch. I've bought it today from aliexpress. I will let you know.
For this model you can activate a "Switch" mode by holding Minus+LB while the controller is on. The face buttons will be swapped to match the layout of a Switch controller, so the B labeled button functions as the A button. I was only able to get it to work with the 8bitdo receiver plugged in to the Switch's dock, and there is no motion functionality.
@@TroveOasis Thank guys for try helping me. I just got mine today and it is pretty good. I have followed your suggestion and now I am able to play it on my switch, thanks for that. There is just one think that is bothering me... Can I turn on the switch using this controller? I dont think so, but you know if there is possible, please let me know!
You can pair it to the steam deck with Bluetooth also , switch to d-input mode , keep pressing the profile button and it should enter into Bluetooth mode
When you pair to the Phone once, does the controller connect to the device immediately when you press the power button on the controller? I have the Ultimate Bluetooth version of the 8bitdo and consider switching to this one since I like the button layout and purple colour more and only intend to use it on my IPad
Hello @jjgsus7052! Sorry for the late reply 😅 Thanks for the video suggestion! We made a short showing a demo for this. :) You can check it out here: ru-vid.com7DO8Z7wCdjA Hope this helps!
@@TroveOasis oh thats nice. Can you please do a video trying it on android? I would like to take that controller to my university and play with my phone but I wasnt sure if it had bluetooth or not
@@TroveOasis okay so I'm guessing I need an adaptor USB-A to USB-C and plug it to my smartphone/tablet? How about 2 players? Is it possible? If this is compatible with Android, then this is better than the Ultimate Bluetooth version, right? That one is not compatible with Android, I think.
You can use USB-A to USB-C adapter if you want to use the 2.4g dongle with Android, but the Ultimate 2.4g also has a direct bluetooth mode when connecting with an Android device. That is what I use when I connect the controller to my Android phone, I have a video showing this here: ru-vid.comoShsJ-05pp0 :) I have connected 2 8BitDo Ultimate controllers via bluetooth to the Android-powered Odin 2. In our experience playing 2-player games, we haven't noticed any heavy delay or missed inputs. The Ultimate 2.4g does indeed have official Android support, while the Ultimate Bluetooth doesn't. I've seen some devices were able to connect to the Ultimate Bluetooth, but it is less likely to work in-game compared to the Ultimate 2.4g.
