The John Lennon quote is " life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Love the plop idea. Also as soon I saw the jacket I loved it I am English born and bred. Before you mentioned your clothes today I was thinking that it is such an English look. ☺
This place is so incredibly fabulous unique and beautiful I love everything especially all the pots!!!! Even crystals and wood… my goodness … thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place I could spend an entire day there… and it would be a very “dangerous” venture 🤣🤣🤣 LOL 🌺🌸💚🤍🪴🌿🌳🍀
Thank you for taking us along with you to this lovely garden center. Phoebe was well versed in all the plants and it was a joy to hear her describe them and their growing requirements. In answer to your "question of the day", I definitely take my time picking out the best plant I can find, which is why my husband prefers to stay home while I go plant shopping. Have a wonderful day!
Phoebe , congratulations on your degree and best of luck on your Master degree! Thank you, although I have some of the indoor plants you showed us, I still learned so much from you! 🌸❤️🇨🇦
Very cool place ! Fun ! You should try those self watering large ceramic pots from Proven Winners and Jack Barnwell I think it is ...nor sure...for your new place?
Beautiful selections of plants and containers. The young lady assisting you did an awesome job explaining the various plants, environment requirements and pottery selections. Thank you.
Wonderful video! I loved all of the plants and would be a frequent customer there. Phoebe is absolutely charming. I loved seeing the plants displayed and the tips. Thank you!
I would love to see arranging plants in my home. I have a huge pine, three palms and a huge not even sure it's name. Most came from arrangements from deceased family and I am unable to part with them. I was thinking about palms in a high stand maybe behind a chair? But what to place it in is my burden. That plant "spoke to you" as your home is.
I’ve been there and loved it! I’m from the DFW area in Texas, but my daughter and I did the interior design for a new bank in Oklahoma. We bought all the plants and containers from Calverts. They even sent a representative to show the employees at the bank how to care for the plants Such a special place!!!
WOW! What an incredible place, Linda. The container collections are beyond awesome. The only thing they are lacking are some little nooks with tables and chairs so the customers could sit with an iced tea and just soak in the surroundings and admire the beauty. I could just sit and look at these gorgeous spaces for hours. Working here would be my dream job….just imagine being surrounded by all this beauty everyday….designing lovely little garden containers…..AND getting paid to be there! That would be the very BEST job ever! Thank you for sharing this beautiful bit of heaven on earth. PS…I think Stewart needs a staghorn wall hanging for his office. Low maintenance. Huge impact. 😊💖
I loved this video! Thank you for sharing this magical place. I think I could spend hours in there. I loved "meeting" Phoebe - such a wealth of information and a charming young woman. Linda, you are a joy to watch, and Stewart did an amazing job showing us around.
Hi Linda! Well......another interesting and informative tour!!! Phoebe was so sweet and I wish her well in her continuing education! Now excuse me as I must ready to visit my landscaping nursery to see what I can find. I think a Bromeliad. Hi Stewart! Have a nice day! :)
I love these little field trips. I had no idea we used to have a trolley in OKC and I've lived in central OK all my life! Wow! Also, I love that store!
I was surprised to hear that warm mist humidifiers are more beneficial for houseplants than cool mist ones, but was thrilled to find this out because I was just getting ready to buy two humidifiers! I wish I lived near this wonderful place...I would be there all the time; their pottery selection alone is fabulous. (I love your haircut, Linda--it's so chic!)
Just returned to Denver after visiting my son in Oklahoma City. Even before arriving to his home, we drove by your lovely house. I just love watching your videos and learning from you! Stay cool, Linda! 😎
My eyes!! Trying to take in every little...and big thing. All the plants and containers, just beautiful. A place like this needs frequent visits. Thanks to Stewart for going slowly so we can take it all in. 🙂
I’m shameless, if you ask me what I want to do on my weekends, it’s not catching up with family and friends, it’s wandering garden centres and stores like this. My other free time is spent in the garden; if I could find a job combining this full time, I’d be the happiest person in the world 🌱 A local shopping centre has those huge pots that look like a traditional plan pots all through it, they have planted up with massive strelitzias and under planted with cliveas, and they look amazing.
Wow! Loved this. I have to come visit. Calverts is currently plant styling our second bank branch in OKC. Office plants make such a difference. Thanks for the timely visit!
I am so happy I found your channel! I live in Greece and although our climate (and soil) differs from yours I see you like the Mediterranean plants as well! I have just started gardening and I already got much inspiration from you! Thank you so much! You are really talented!
I'm green with envy at this place. I live in the country here in Virginia and the closest place that I know of to find anything near this valuable would be Richmond. It seems Oklahoma City is full of assets. Thank you, Linda, for sharing it. Finding unique pots and healthy beautiful plants is a treasure trove indeed and all in one place. Beautiful.
So wonderful! The cobalt pots are amazing! I loved their topiaries and per your book have created 6 little boxwood topiaries. I just posted them today if anyone is interested in topiaries. Oh and I really love your hair! Hi Stewart!
Great garden tour, thank you! Could you do a moving video? Why, where and when, are you moving because now you're empty nest? I am thinking of a move and would love some positive motivation, your home is beautiful and it must be difficult to think of a move away after a lifetime. I am in the same boat but a move to age in place is one of my considerations. Thank you so much for all you do💗
Linda, as a newlywed over 50 years ago my husband and I bought a beautiful very large Ming Aralia and all of our guest used to think it was a large pot plant! I was definitely a great conversation plant! I loved this video.
Brad Pitt playing the lottery and thinking about the cost of redoing the green houses. LOL Your bouquet bar is wonderful and your customers all seem amazing. You are one blessed lady.
👍👍Calvert’s Plant Interiors tour was wonderful, Even though I’m living ( Mysore, India ) in opposite side of your place on this planet 🌎, I’m really very lucky to watch ( on Sony TV 65” ) the field tours at Oklahoma City. You are very lucky to have Calverts so close to your house only 3 minutes at N Classen Avenue, opposite to Walmart. I have learnt a lot from your channel and adopt in my garden here, Always thankful to you ( and also to Stewart ), With Best Wishes, 🙏🙏
OH MY!!! I only wish i lived closer. This is my jam, my daughter and I (she lives in South Carolina) always hunt down the best places for pots, though like you Linda, we are known to find them in the most unusual places. Quick story, my daughter was going into an antique store, and the pot that people could put their cigarette butts in, was amazing, there were two of them, she asked if they were for sale, and got both for a ridiculously low price, SCORE! After watching this, I might have to call my best gardening friend for a visit to our nursery.....I was walking with you and saying I want that, I want that, oh and I want that! All have a great day....off to weed, oh by the way, mid-Atlantic, zone 7 (6, I don't believe its changed to 7) we have had a major drop in temperatures, 90's to 70's for a few days, and then low 80's for the next ten days, VERY UNSEASONABLE, but this gardener will take advantage of it. Happy Gardening everyone!
Hi Linda first of all you look absolutely BEAUTIFUL! 😎😎😎 Wowzers!!! I really enjoyed this video. It's nice to be able to window shop and explore other gardens and places without leaving the home : )
Girl…you got it GOING ON with today’s ear bobs…and the shirt…and the new hair…and the shades. Oh my…I did say you got it going on! You need to get out more often
The history ...was it originally Indian land? It's interesting how us whities start our history with ourselves. I realised this many years back. Now I think of the Indigenous history first and foremost, not the colonial settlers on Indigenous land that most of our ancestors stole or legally confiscated and drove out the Indigenous peoples out into the boon docks.
