about the survival show , the boys were already treinees in jype and they were picked by bang chan to form his team on the show to eventually become the official group , the show was also called stray kids , the whole thing was that chan who trained for the longest (7 years) had almost if not all full control to form and prepare his own group to debut , so when they were put there chan knew what each had to like "offer" at first (ps: the survival show is like torture to watch)

4:58 The survival show was honestly just made to hype up JYPE's new boy group aka Stray Kids. But they were already formed before that since Chan picked all of them. The show was more of a marketing strategy for the company to show off their new group so ppl would support their debut, so it was more like a reality show and not an audition type of thing. And it was also a way for JYP (Fromer CEO of the company skz is under) to decide whether they were ready to debut or not, but the member selection and everything was already done before the show even aired.
