Zidane overall is better than Modric, but Modric did more in Madrid than Zidane in Madrid, Zidane’s peak was at juve, so i would say Modric is the best Real Madrid midfielder ever.

When he hangs his boots he should be held in the same regard as players like Cruyff and Zidane. Modric changed the game for Madrid ending years of champions League drought. He hunts and wins the ball,makes key tackles and passes and creates crucial chances. His vision and longevity is to be credited. Runs from one end to the other helping in the build supplying from the back to front.
Luka has been marshalling our midfield for nearly a decade now. I hope he stays at Real Madrid till the end of his career, he truly deserves all the love & respect.

He wasn’t worst.. it takes time to understand Modrić a value.. he didn’t do many goals or assists so people thought he was bad but he was really good actually.. they realized it when the coach started to talk more how important he is and gave him also a better position for him

He is without a doubt the greatest midfielder of his generation. Everyone around him gets 10x better just by the strength of his leadership. Anyone who has ever played with Luka Modric owes a little bit of their success to him. An absolute legend

One thing I love the most about Modric, for the past 5 years real is bringing hos replacement, a talented midfielder that is supposed to learn from him and inherit him in RM (from Kovačić to Camavinga) 5 years later, all of those players went to other clubs to play (and they play amazingly) but Luka is still in RM, still being the first option and still RM is 2 different teams with and without him. From a player "I'd love a number 10 but it's too much to ask" to a player that says hazard on his request for #10 "you wish". Amazing, modest, humble, underappreciated from twitter fans ("he robbed balon d'or") and a true legend whos light will fully shine when he retires and people realise just how good he really was
