term in square root can be written as 99^2 +(99+99) +1 aka (99+1)^2

not me making it hard on myself by turning 99 into x and solving that way

So 99² is 99*99, if you add 99, it's like have 99 1 more time, so it's like 99*100 and, similarly, if you add 100 to that, it's like 100*100. 100*100 is 100², square and square root cancel each other, answer : 100.

nope, It is 100 only. WHY? because x = √100 = ±10 but directly √100 is just +10.

@@unknowncoder7332 Are you mighty enough to prove his knowledge wrong? He wrote it because it's just the way it is. √10000 can be answered as 100. But a more deep answer would be ±100. Because (100)² = 10000 But (-100)² is also = 10000 (-100)² = (-100) * (-100) = (-)(-)(10000) = (+)(10000) = 10000

@@SurrealDude square root is defined as always positive. It's only when it's x squared it's both For x =sqrt(4) ----> x = 2 For x^2 = 4 ----> x = + or - 2 Google it if you don't believe me

@@SurrealDude The correct answer is 100, not ±100. √x is a function and if you graph it the output can only be positive because then you would get to values for the same function. A function can't have two outputs for one input. That is a relation, not a function. x^2 = 100 has two solutions which are x = 10 & x = -10, but x = √100 only has the solution x = 10.

@SurrealDude √(x)² = | x | Thus √(±100)² = | ±100 | = 100 The sign does not apply when there is no variable. When finding x² = 100², we are actually finding the value for "x" which can be ± depending on case. but here, there is no variable, thus the answer would be positive only.

Hello everyone, here is my solution, without watching the bideo or reading other comments: √(99² + 99 + 100) = √(99 ‧ 99 + 99 + 100) = √(100 ‧ 99 + 100) = √(9900 + 100) = √(10000) = √(100 ‧ 100) = 100 Annotation The result of a positive orincipal sqare root is always non-negative. More precisely: it is an absolute number. Definition: √(x²) = |x| Therefore the result of the principal sqare root of 10000 is 100. Only 100, not 100 or -100. Best regards Marcus 😎
