@@statquest Sure, you need to watch first starting 15-20mins. He has already introduced ML in that 15mins, and rest of video is about its application and deeper exploration. Time stamps 3:32 and 5:52
taking a moment to appreciate how you have created videos after videos on abstract concepts using colorful geometric shapes and visual aids, not to mention your equally sustaining enthusiasm in every video that I have seen so far. Thank you.
Just goes to show you that sometimes its not the material that is difficult, it is how it is taught, and that great teachers can inspire great scientists.
I wish I knew this channel before!!! I dropped machine learning class bec. it was too hard but you make it so easy to understand! You deserve a lot of subscribers... Thank you.
@@statquest I agree, and I am going to watch it with my young daughter that likes math. I think it's perfect to show how she can use her skills, one day. You have a gift for explaining things! And it's not cause of the age of the listener, you are 'just' good! Thanks
So glad I found this channel. Started my ML learning journey and this refreshing pedagogical approach with humor and music really lends itself well to those like me who may find regular teaching content monotonous. Thanks!!!
I have watched lots of videos to understand the concept of machine learning. But, this simple introductory video was enough for me to fall in love with the channel. No other videos, not even the academic lectures on the topic, makes abstract concept as clear as your simple and fun videos. Appreciate your efforts. Best wishes!
Found your channel when I asked chatGPT some good resources to learn Machine Learning and BAM!! I have been binge watching your videos ever since. Absolutely love how you make complex topics so simple and easy to understand. You are truly a great teacher!! Thanks a ton!
Hey Joshua, thanks for all these amazing videos. I am a novice to the whole field of machine learning and Computer programming in general. I break my head everyday looking for a way to teach myself all that is there to the field. MIT lectures, youtube videos, udemy course and all that. I have to admit that a majority of videos are very very rhetoric (even the courses on Udemy). Your videos clearly show that you not only explain the necessary foundation concepts but you are also very closely aware about the whole superficial perception of the field (pretty evident at 8:23 lol). All I have to say is that I am very thankful for insightful videos. It is a great time in human history when education and information is reaching to masses for free. But I believe there is a responsibility that rest with the people who benefit from all these free content; a strive to improve things. Hence, I will chalk down a few struggles, questions and challenges that I face or have faced in my journey of learning, so that you may create videos around it and not just help me but anyone who is trying to learn this domain; given the fact that it is so full of hyped noise.
hello sir, I am a statistician but I am an avid Learner of data science and your videos are so much useful to make this easy. However I am more enthusiastic to have several videos on machine learning in R. I saw some videos are there but still I am waiting for your series of videos on that. Can you do this sir. You are awesome. Your teaching approach is so different from others. please do this favor. Thank you.
You have made learning sooooo easy and fun! Keep doing it. You will literally transform the education system of the world. Thanks a tonne for the quests!!!
"We collect data also from people that don´t love StatQuest" This is the first error I ever found in videos from this channel, because, people that don´t love StatQuest..... DON´T EXIST!!!! :) BAM!
Hello josh, I am from Indonesia. I've just found your channel this morning, and automatically fall in love with your channel. everything about it is triple BAM!!! keep doing a great work...
This is the first machine learning video I’ve ever seen that actually makes sense. Thank you for making these videos. You just earned a new subscriber :)
Stumbled across this channel while going through my data science book. As soon as I heard the intro song, I started smiling. Watched the video, and saw the things I've been reading about presented in a clear, concise and comical way. Subbed.
I love your channel! Thank you Josh. 🙏🏽 many times, even for the topics I think I have understood, I still check if you have a video on that, because you always make the story extra special...a few additional tips/tricks to understand the topic even better! Love the way you present it!
I have an exam for my machine learning class in 7 hours and I planned to binge-watch these videos at twice the speed but this video is so good, that I would rather take my time watching them and have a solid understanding of these basic concepts and fail the exam then try to rush through them.
Boy did "they" messed things up for me. Everything I've seen or read on this topic has been a poop of contradictions (Bad teaching or I'm braindead) but either case you made me understand the basics immediately. Yay!
Totally enjoyed watching this video.. I have decided to watch all ML and Statistics videos of this channel.. Never been this excited about learning ML! Thanks a ton
Hi, thank you so much being one of the best machine learning instructor, I keep coming back to your videos whenever i'm stuck with a concept. Thank you for making this a fun activity. Love your songs! do share the spotify playlist XD. I've been watching this series for revisions since you've uploaded them.
well thought putting an index of all the StatQuest videos. It really helps for people like me that is initiating to have a path in the learning process. Thumbs up for that.
Because of your videos I was able to understand the concepts clearly!! Thank you for putting so much efforts into these videos and making it available for everyone for freeeee!!! BAM!!!
Josh its really amazing that how easily you explain complex concepts, kudos. I wish I would have known this channel earlier. I am great fan of you. Thanks a lot for all your brilliant videos on ML
Mr. Josh Please make a video on Market basket Analysis, Neural network and time series. I really like your method of teaching. Clears everything inside out.
My favorite ML books is The Introduction to Statistical Learning. It is free and a lot of my videos cover the same material (so you can look at the book and my videos at the same time). faculty.marshall.usc.edu/gareth-james/ISL/
This is really good, easy to understand and comprehend because of examples and explanation. I have been trying to get my head over ML from a week. You guys have done really hard work, keep it up, Thank you! :)
Hello Josh... you're an angel...I was stressed out about learning all of these stuff and you just made everything so simple By any chance will you be making tutorials for C++ in future?
- Machine Learning is about prediction and classification - We will spit our sets into training data and testing data - We evaluate the performance of evaluating data to decide which method is the best
Hi, just getting into machine learning and thanks for making such good videos. I remember hating stats, and was dreading to relearn but you explain everything so easily in an engaging way. I especially love the bam, because if i hear it but don't know what i learned, i should rewatch the section lol. One suggestion would be to have a "BAM" note at the end where you can quickly review the key points
I'm glad you like the videos and the bams! Interestingly, I've tried doing summaries, and I still do them, but very few people watch them for the effort that goes into them.
I like your explanation.. really good... just saw one video of LDA and found out how you made whole concept simpler in very simple form..Thanks for videos
The best model should be the one that fits the test data best. That is why we are going with line of best fit... not with the one connecting all training data. A great take home.Thanks.
none can beat your way of explanation on this planet, I bet. I just love your explanation, content, silly songs, silly recipe videos just love the whole package.
I think only StatQuest can make ASMR about Machine Learning of this quality. I'm going to let it put me to sleep, while accidentally maybe also learning a few things about ML.
Machine learning methods vary in prediction ability and classification ability. They first use training data to create the model Then they receive testing data the check it's performance. Bias/variance tradeoff: how well the line fits training data vs how well it predicts new training data
please put all the linear regression and logistic regression playlist videos in the the machine learning playlist so that one can watch all the videos at once.
