Imagine when the very last one died - did it die of old age, falling asleep at the bottom of a river never again to wake up? Did it die in an epic battle? Did it die of starvation because its food was too fast? It would be fascinating to know, and I'm sure the other local animals were happy never to see it again.
@toomanycooks7836

Along with most extinct species, the last one probably fell asleep and didn’t wake up. It’s not a bad way to end a legacy.

Mat Broomfield Well many large modern-day crocodilians can comfortably live up to 70 years in the wild, so I’d say that animals like purrasaurus and deinosuchus could probably live around the same. It’s also hard to tell, because age varies greatly in large animals. Many whales can live excess of 80 years old, yet fossil records tell us that other large animals, like tyrannosaurus, didn’t make it passed 30 years of age.

@@BHuang92 The man had a massive ego. He might have very well, sarcastically made say 1 bite = 2.000 Newton, just because he knew that the richness and luxury of a bigger number often feels more impactful to lesser minds - which of course in Newtons case would have been more or less the rest of the world. Also historical sources claim that, however lacking in social skills, Newton packed one Helluva love bite and if that was a 1 compared to the 69.000 Newton of a Purussaurus then either they must all be lying or this thing could chew through a convoy of Sherman Tanks. A widely accepted standard reference in the world of bites is the Pug Bite which comes out at a whopping 150 Newton. I am confident Newton, choleric as he was, could do better than that when formally in a state of arousal ...

@lusciouslocks8790
@lusciouslocks8790 5 лет назад
@@adamjohnsonstudio7910 Well, you see, "69,000 Newtons" is a unit of measure containing the number "69,000", which itself starts with the digits "6" and "9", or "69". The numerical configuration of the number "69" vaguely resembles the act of fellatio taken up by two parties simultaneously. Thus, it has been deemed "the sex number" in popular internet culture. Being a man of significant social grace, I find this number funny because sex is often deemed an unreasonable topic for public discussion in western society. Being an adult, I no longer find shouting "penis" funny, but this more complex form of the same underlying themes makes the pass for my matured sense of humor. Therefore, I find any reference to the aforementioned number, "69", mildly humorous, as indicated when I constructed my written account of my internal reaction, being that "heh nice" is not excessive amounts of laughter but rather a small chuckle, if that. I hope that my explanation has broadened your understanding of the deep and powerful social systems that run like vast rivers through our modern society.

This animal was alive not so long ago and is basically a T-rex sized predator, it's crazy how it's not so popular despite that. It's also far more impressive than sarcosuchus or deinosuchus but somehow these 2 manage to be more popular... Maybe it has to do with its prey, it's not as "cool" to feed on capybaras than to feed on dinosaurs (even tho sarcosuchus certainly eat mostly the large fish of african large river systems).
@melvinshine9841

This guy didn't have the Paul Soreno hype machine behind it like Sarcosuchus has. Deinosuchus is more popular that Purusaurus, but not by that much. i LOVE crocadolliaforms. they might be my absolute favorite creatures. ive known of Purrusaurus but i didnt realize just how impressive it was before watching your video. i still think Boverisuchus still takes the cake with me though. a long legged terrestrial crocodillain that potentially sprinted on its hooved hind legs to chase down its prey is the stuff of nightmares excellent video guys

This is ironic about Caiman's being so dangerous in this sense as both Anacondas and Jaguars have been known to kill them! Possibly back then there was prehistoric versions of these two to do the same sometimes to this one!

I always used to think that Sarcosuchus or Deinosuchus were the biggest prehistoric crocs/gators. I only found out about the Purussaurus last year, and I wonder why it's not as well known as the other two despite it's sheer size. Usually things that are "bigger and badder" make more of an impression on people and thus are more familiar with them.

Why don't they show the treasures of it, like the biggest Crocodilian : Purussaurus, The biggest Turtle : Stupendemys, the biggest Snake : Titanoboa, the biggest dinosaur for fuck sake : The Argentinosaurus, but no it has to be murican...Stop being so fucking hypocritical you leftists. These things are said to still exist. The local natives all over Africa have different names for them (called "Lipata" in Angola, "Kipumbubu" in Tanzania, "Mahamba" in the Lake Likouala swamp region of the Congo, and "Gbahali" in Liberia). Are said to grow up to 50 ft. Are similar to at least three prehistoric crocs that are supposedly extinct. Reports from the locals say they will munch on an occassional villager who wanders too close to the rivers. Sleep on that! :)
