I have shot a northern Minnesota 7 point buck that came running in after using a can bleat call during the rut.

I grew up in Lincoln. Maine and have hunted for over 45+ years… never seen a deer that large in the woods!! Live in downtown Boston and hunt the whole month of November in Maine… maybe next year I’ll get the buck of a lifetime! 64 now!

Congrats! You put in the time and was rewarded. I shot a 150" Nov 16th it was the first time I haven't heard my wife say anything about gettin him mounted. She was so excited for me she knew I grinded it out for that buck last year and 2 months this year. Super buck tho man

I forgot to mention I yous to drive through New Hampshire and didn't think there was buck like the ones yous got this fall the crew did well. There was a small town that gave moose tours in the mountains with busses but I can't remember the name.

Killing a big buck can be done...but filming it with a friend in a tree and friends near by is something else entirely

This will sound harsh but nevertheless, my opinion. Taking a gun and a bow to the stand isn’t bow hunting. If you kill a deer with your bow but had a rifle in the stand, you aren’t a bow hunter, you are a poser. Why do people feel the need to cheat the system or gain an edge all the time? I think it’s a huge problem these days and not just in hunting. Do the work, be confident in your scouting, commit to your setup. Be a man, or woman, take your bow in and if you don’t get a shot, then the deer won that round. But for Christ’s sake stop taking 2 weapons to the stand. Just because something is legal doesn’t mean it’s ethical. When that deer is on the wall and you tell someone you killed it with your bow, do you follow it up with, “but I had a gun so I would’ve killed him either way”? I doubt it. It’s not a video game. There shouldn’t be cheat codes. Getting beat is ok. But when you succeed, get all the glory and not just some of it because you had an ace up your sleeve. To some, it doesn’t matter, to me, a bow hunter is just that, a bow hunter. Respectfully, -J
