I like the ambiguity of how much control does Being X actually have of the world. We've seen him pull tiny strings left and right to manipulate events, but is that him just trying to be subtle, or is he actually limited to that much? Does the world fight at his whim or is this just the natural progression of events that he just so happens to be using to his advantage?

Tbf even until now that part of LN hasn't been explored more cause the focus is still world war and tanya's exploits. While it can answer plotholes, I do think it is unnecessary to put in anime as it's just a waste of frame. Us LN reader can just fill anime watchers in to get them the context. Same with the technology they use, if we insert it here, it would be just info dump. And I do like my anime compact, understandable, and entertaining. Plot holes are for watchers to fill in, not for creators to muddy up their end vision.

@@Clocken_Lorn I find this an important plot point. 1. It shows the reader/watcher being X is not the God 2. It shows what is done to Tanja is done by census of those beings 3. It enforces the understanding that these beings are more dependent on the faith of sentient life than the sentient life needing them 4. It enforces the understanding that being X is not doing what it is doing for the good of the people and that Mary Sue and her father are just brainwashed self-serving idiots who think it is okay if they invade another nation and help in plotting against it behind its back, but dare them to fight back

@@seynoonrae2474 very well, let me change the perspective. In 12 eps worth of footage which part should we remove and which part should be included to get the most out of a series. An anime adaptation is not a novel. This much is a fact. While novel have better freedom in it's narration and world building, a cinema have better visual and auditory impact. The 12 eps is not by any means decided by the author. It is very much decided agreement on both author, studio, and profit. Yes I agree with all your reasoning. They are essential for Youjo Senki. Yes it pretty much portray a different image compared to novel. However they're pretty much a very different media, that's a given. Also no Mary is a headache, she can think. But I feel like I'm healed every time Drake took over her to describe herself (Mary). Because my word, she's an annoying patriot with no regard to political scene.

@@Clocken_Lorn Sorry all of that sounds like a bad excuse considering the studio took the liberty on how events happened like the training and in the character designs.
