I made the terrible decision to send in cards I thought were 9's. www.comc.com/Users/GarbageGem... www.ebay.com/str/garbagegems Most of this will be up for sale on COMC with the decent stuff on Ebay.
WTF! Some of those grades are way too harsh! PSA should be more transparent in there justification of grades 8 and lower. Or at least given the option to withdraw the card from grading.
You don't know if those grades are too harsh or not, you can't tell the condition of a card from seeing it on a video. I'm always amazed by the amount of people who don't examine their cards with a magnifying glass before sending them in. I've had so many people over the years ask me to send in their cards for grading because they think their card is perfect because they look good with the naked eye. But as soon as I look at it through a magnifying glass and point out imperfections they get mad. There are a lot of things that we can't see with just our eyes.
Everyone clowns hga but if they have ai grading thier cards plus human inspection im inclined to use them. Regardless of their past issues. I sent 6 cards away and got 2 10s 2 9.5s and 2 9s. And they break their grades down. I have a 9 brock beoser auto and its got an 8.5 surface i totally agree with. If more people start trusting other companies then psa wont be the hughest selling grader anymore. I trust technology and with human review after im sold.
My last submission was rough for me too, I sent in 17 Marvel Cards for a special they had but i only got 2 10s out of the 17, by far the worst ratio I have gotten in a PSA order thus far from them. Also 90s Marvel Cards are hard to Gem but I took the risk.
The cards come out of blisters with curled corners. The packaging pushes down on them. I tried leaving them in a card saver for about a year but that didn’t work.
I know I am late, but just saw what you are talking about. It is centered. It looks off because of the lighting/case shadow. If you look at the black border around the portrait and how it lines up with the bottom of the holder, it is easier to tell that it is just lighting making it look OC. There might be a very slight OC, as almost no card (especially from that era) is 100% perfect, but it would be well within the limits for being considered centered for grading.
It was not as bad... It help you to feel better.... I bought a lot of raw cards, and I inspected these cards. The result was that I decided to not to submit half of the cards that I purchased because of scratches in many of them
They say it depends if grader is in good mood Really ?I don’t care what mood these people are in if I’m paying hundreds rip people off there going to eventually sue
Joke listen if you have a 1962 Mickey mantle it’s work 700 or more I’m not spending hundreds not even to sell it on e bay I’d burn my cards before I pay for this service plus these r probably the clowns that go to card shows and try to rip people off looking at cards w micro scope any card from 1962 or before is worth a lot
