Prior to exploring this genre, I wouldn't have expected "French goth music" to be so prominent, but learn something new every day.

I like this, and I also like wearing lots of black, but I'm still deciding if I want to be a Goth. I know that fashion is not a determiner of whether someone is Goth or not, but that's what got me journeying down the Goth rabbit hole in the first place lol. I had no idea that it's all denoted by the music (at least, what defines all Goths as Goth). I kinda dress Nu Goth / Corporate Goth as it is so... I'm going to keep thinking about it :)

Thanks for this! Goth music is one of those genres for me that are more enjoyable to listen to as ambiance, so i dont know many particular bands :)

I hav been trying to get into Goth music but did not fully know were to star and all these playlist really helped!

It's been like 5 months since this video but may I suggest Ritual Howls :) as a goth that doesn't keep careful track of what music is precisely goth and what is not, I can confidently say that this still keeps with the vibe of Sisters of Mercy and others like it :)
