If you deeply and profoundly knew that they are impermanent and offer no real happiness (and you can't hold on), you would already be non-attached. You have read or heard that it is impermanent and offers no real happiness...and so you only believe in it, but you have not clearly seen the futility of attachment.

Yes. and thank you Swami Sarvapriyananda ' I woke up this morning with this on my mind - I´ve been feeling this - losing interest in some of my worldly interests - it feels fine, yet strange as i become aware of these changes - putting up some resistance - I had to ask myself - What´s Going On? And then I see this, I feel calmer - as you move towards the east the west is left behind automatically - when God Realization - Self Realization is your goal. Love for God, Dispassion for worldly things come. No more time to mess around in the world. Here i had to laugh. Yes Swami-ji thank you for this guidance. Om Shanti Om

Great thought. Really simple way for achieving detachment though in practice we may find it difficult to achieve. Only practice in this direction will help us to achieve the goal. Lord Krishna explained this to Arjuna in verses 6.35 onwards. There the stress on practice is well explained. Only determination to reach ones goal will take us across.

Please start living a need based life rather than desire based. Two types of desires are there : Dharmik & Adharmik. Who decides between the two : your conscience ( Vivek ). The knowledge that fulfilling Adharmik ( indulgence ) desires doesn’t make sense should help! 🙏

Anyone knows if Swamiji is alright? Most of his recent videos are from old videos and he hasn't posted any new ones off of late!

Question: When human has come to the realization that it is not the body or the mind, the population decreases, what is there then after the last body has become soil? Only consciousness? What was then the human role in this Universe? What is the point of all this? Why go through this havoc,misery and chaos caused by human? Is the planet masochistic or does it not have any saying about what is going on?

Swamiji , I can't focus on my study anymore. In last two years , I have completed so many spiritual books , and reading till now.. Sometimes I think I should stop my study and focus on self realization. But you often says , " is it good to give up something in the halfway ?" .. I can not manage.. Sometimes I leave all those matters on God. But it comes to me again and again.. How to get rid of this situation ?

Its really not complicated. Just think: "IF YOU LEAVE THE WORLD ALONE, THE WORLD WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE" The more one gets involved in the world, the more you will attract its energy or (karmic matter). So, at a minimum, just do what you need to survive through moderation in diet and activities From there, the rest is meditation, prayer, and simple living. With less involvement in the world. Then you wont atttact too much of its energy or (karmic matter).

Do pranayamam which is said by Krishna in bagvadgita. Every thing is clear, u just need to find right guru.

I have a question. AND PLEASE ANSWER THIS FOR ME. THAT INFINITE EXISTENCE CONSCIOUSNESS BLISS WHICH YOU SAY IS EVERYWHERE, EVEN IN MY BODY AND MIND, WHY DOES IT WANT ME TO SUFFER? WHY HAVE THE CONCEPT OF ATTACHMENT OR DESIRE OR EXPECTATIONS AND THEN SAY IT ISN'T SUPPOSED? TO ME IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! Still there is NO final state or Highest Goal or God. You can read and write whatever you want, but pls don't get into another illusion. Read UG and Jiddu Krisnamurti, Osho...You are your own Warrior. There is NO perfection here or anywhere else. Just be as less of a problem to this life as possible - how? By being Aware as possible. Then this Mind unravels...the ages of conditioning of society which acts as a baggage starts to drop...Sex does NOT remain a taboo...But soon you start to transcend it... But don't think doing puja, ritual and feeding your family makes you good! that's why such customs bcm bondage and creates slaves. The more you want to find God the more you go astray. Till the time you want God, you will want Sex. Forget all and live like a Warrior. Enjoy in the moment. What has to transpire will happen. That's why Buddha is the Ultimate Warrior. Courage and Compassion. SLowly realization that seeking itself is not reqd....Books, Dogmas, religions all need to be let go...Peace to all.

Attachment is only cold turkey !
