Beautiful classroom! I’m new to Kinder (but not to teaching) and especially loved the labels for the toolbox on your desk. Can you please tell me what TPT store you found them on? Also, I noticed from another comment that you resigned as a teacher. I’m sorry the profession lost you as you seem like you have a great heart and high level of organization.
I know this is an older video, but do remember where you got the ABC letter cards? I am a first year kindergarten teacher and I am struggling with finding ABC cards that I like.
Since COVID I didn’t do home checkouts anymore! I just had the kids utilize the books during center time, once they were done with the “read to self” rotation they returned their books to the return bin! But during the day if they finished work early they were able to re-retrieve that book from the return bin if they wanted it again or could pick a new one!
What has been you favorite grade to teach so far? I am an early educator and want to choose between PREK-2nd grade and don’t know what g tea de fits with me most any advice????? I’m learning towards kindergarten, but got told2nd grade is better due to science being more fun.
Hi! I’m no longer a teacher but I taught kindergarten and first grade. Kindergarten was nice because you are building up foundational skills with the students and it is pretty much guaranteed that they are going to make huge learning gains and finish the year leaps and bounds ahead of where they started which is fulfilling to see. However, the day to day (especially at the beginning of the year) is much more exhausting because you are teaching them the routines of school and they get tired because the day is really long for a 4/5 year old kid to sit and focus for that long. First grade was opposite- they come into the year a lot more capable of following routines, but academically it gets more challenging because you have to teach them how to read and a lot of the students struggle/don’t make as much progress as the year before!
@@AndreaMichelleYT Thank you so much for your reply. I am currently an early Childhood educator so I can definitely connect to things you say about kindergarten. I am watching your video on why you quit teaching as I did not know you were not a teacher anymore enjoying your content thank you!😊
Just a quick note: you said several times in your video that something was already a mess. If that is the case then it's not working. Try something different for one of those areas at a time and then see how well it keeps neat and tidy. Let me know if you have questions about a particular area! I'm happy to help!!
