My path with learning python until now has been: - Python crash course by Eric Matthes (probably I would have chosen Automate the boring stuff, today) - Tiny Python Projects (Manning publ.) - The Quick Python Book (Manning) which I'm doing at the moment. After the last one, my idea was to go for the Classic CS Problems (the author of the book recommends the quick python book for the prerequisites) Hope this is useful for someone, I feel like recommending those books in that order :)
@joshi1q2w3e
@joshi1q2w3e 2 года назад
Why do you feel Automate the boring stuff would be better than eric matthes book? Is it because its more useful on the job? I just started learning python btw, I’m using the real python book by dan bader.
@fabriziopellegrini9517

@@joshi1q2w3e hi Joshi, I feel that Automate has more useful exercise/projects, at the right level of challenge for a beginner. Imo, the PCC has quite trivial exercises inside the chapters and the projects at the end are something that you cannot avoid just following along at that stage of your learning (that was my sensation back then :)). Anyway, for anybody using PCC my advice is to read the project development in its entirety and then try to implement it on your own.

This book is great. I learned about it after watching one of the author’s RU-vid videos. Thanks for recommending this book as I borrowed it from a library and had to return it before working my way through it. Now you have reminded me I need to purchase a copy to finish. I think it’s a book worth keeping as I found myself working through a chapter and then going back later to see what I remembered and refresh my memory by rereading sections and reworking examples.

Python Crash Course by Eric Matthes. This is the only one book you will need. I have learned Python from this book, and this is the only Python book that I have read. (I have read blogs, tutorials, watched videos, etc. btw) I am now a Data Scientist working in Computer Vision. This is the one book that I used to get introduced to Python. This book is worth it. Read every line, and do all the exercise. Thank me later. (This comment does not enable me to gain in any way- financially or otherwise.)

@DaveKopec
@DaveKopec 2 года назад
Grokking Algorithms is a really excellent book that I use myself instead of a textbook when I teach Data Structures & Algorithms. The content of Grokking Algorithms is similar to what you would get in an introductory college course on Data Structures & Algorithms whereas Classic Computer Science Problems in Python is a broad survey of a wide range of CS topics (touching on all of them, not going deep into any of them) including those that you would see in second, third, and fourth year computer science classes including an introductory AI class.

You should consider using manual focus, otherwise it creates a constant shift everytime you move your head forward, blurs and sharpens the background, which is very visualy unpleasant and quite hard for our brains to process.
