I was like , idk about 9 or 10 when I watched sailor moon. And then I saw that and be like "Bish I knew they were hiding something 💀" i was aware about these kinds of things back then. But the English version censored this kinds of things and changed them into cousins
I hate my parents for not letting me watch anime. Because we are religious family (as a kid, I am not so much since Senior High school, a lot of things bad happened when I was at church because people there are bullies). Growing up, I'm always questioning myself. I thought I'm broken. Just finally accepted it last 2018 that being gay is okay.
Well, that what happens to Sailor Stars. But in the US version they made them female cross dressers. Haruka being a guy doesn’t make sense in some of the episodes

@@amritamourya6611 I know... just taking a shot at making fun of the version that was released in the US. They were introduced as cousins. Like how Zoisite was dubbed with a female VA but is actually a man in the original manga
On myself, at 6y.o. I already was already aware of these kind of things. And what shocked me at this time was that in our version of the dubbing (the French one :: the English and American ones made abominables things of it! In our version they just made sure that they carefully sensored all the images where it is clearly spoted, and willingly omitted to dub the dialogue where it was stated, so that they just didn't have to address the subject itself. :: For the americans they were just "cousins", for us we didn't even have any information about their relationship except: that they knew each other well, were friends and in touch, and that they were both sailor senshi and that it was because of this that they met. And that Haruka desguise himself to be undercover as an infinity college boy student, to confuse the issue and not draw attention to themselves, where enemies would look for two girls. We had nothing more 🙄😬😳😭), if you realy are attentive, you can see a lot of things and ints of their relationship, but they did not want speack about it clearly. It was that wich was very strang for me on thoses times. 🙄😳🙄😳🙄😳😟😕

I was oblivious to it till my teen years even knowing they looked like they where in a relationship.. I just said oh it’s those others persecution’s and what they saw it may have been over exaggerated so it keeps me watching. Ok they are cousins now I know they exaggerated.. finds out in Japan they where supposed to be a couple… whaaaaa it’s ruins now because I had accepted they where cousins and now thinking about it after rewatching omg why would they leave the art work and have us think it’s cousins instead that’s more wrong then the common objection to being lesbian.. now it’s all fucked up.. never finished the show to this day.. Also if you say It’s a option then it’s a learned behavior… a lot of people try hard to object to that.
I watch Sailor Moon back in the 2000’s but then I stop watching Sailor Moon when Sailor Uranus and Neptune shows up I was upset how they made them into cousins and that was awful I knew they were gay couple in the beginning so after they remastered the voice of new Sailor Moon with Neptune and Uranus that’s when I finally got to watch the whole show and it’s better than saying they are cousins this time they didn’t say that I’m glad and happy 😆
I still don't know why they thought it was okay to portray them as kissing cousins and not lesbians. It's weird like you really think kids are that stupid?
Haruka is supposed to be Non binary as they are blessed by the wind that blows in every direction. I've met some non binary people who are some of the most beautiful humans I've ever seen. So tbh sailor moon did prepare me for real life as i also had to be like "wait, don't get ahead of yourself that human is perfect and out of your league"
Me except i firmy believed people became trans so they could date the same sex. So i decided when the time came i could just marry a trans guy so id still be straight. Now im a lesbian 😅
Haha I thought the same, I saw on TV once a couple of cis woman + trans man and it made perfect sense to me, until eventually the woman also transitioned to man. I couldn't see the point of making the first transition "invalid" 😂
How was this a "great discovery"? 🤔 Also many 7 year old unless raised by lesbian parents would never think of seeing 2 girls in a relationship as a "option."
You think 1990s and early 2000s had something called lesbian couple 💀. West is seen as woke by many these days but Japan had them as a couple whereas English, German etc dub made them cousins since Gay was taboo.
