They epitomize a joyous family. When parents are content, their children usually are too, which is natural. Their close friendship and considerable time spent together indicate their desire for a healthy relationship, a beautiful act of love. Their lives haven't been torn apart; they chose happiness! I sincerely hope you find someone equally wonderful, who will remain by your side through everything.
Tragedy is growing up in a dysfunctional family or staying in a dysfunctional relationship, especially for the kids. Kids are so intuitive. This family is far from being ripped apart. When I wrote 'setting a beautiful example', what I meant by that is that, even if things don't work out, at least have respect for each other. They are showing a different perspective on life. But that's my opinion. And in that kind of environment, the kids will thrive. I'm so proud of Jon and Janni to the point it brings tears to my eyes and makes my heart sing. Their approach is refreshing and mature.@@posch21

Gingerbread perfect and love the kitchen - what a perfect house. Good for you to be with your mum Janni. I think you should go there more it is so truly Swedish and beautifully decorated - traditional which I like. Materials are perfect too. It would be lovely in Summer too.

We have sunset about 4pm in England and I love the gloom but we have no snow. 2024 is when you find a home and I am looking forward to that. Traditional is lovely but not sure what you will go for. Excited for you. You can make your own choices and do what you want when you want.
Looks like you had a great holiday! My only question is how do you celebrate a religious holiday without any religion? No mention of the reason for the holiday, going to church, nativity scenes, hymns or Christmas carols? Do you just consider it a winter solstice holiday with the addition of a guy who happens to be a saint and maybe some angels? Don't the kids wonder what it's all about? Do people do this with holidays of other religions too, or is Christmas so popular that it's the only religious holiday celebrated by people who aren't religious? The Christmas message is all about love, so it's surprising that many people reject any religious part of it but really embrace the consumer and winter parts of it.
Janni didn’t show Christmas, she filmed the days before and after… Christmas is very much a time to gather family, eat lots of food, be grateful for what you have and reach out a helping hand to those less fortunate, regardless of if you are a practicing Christian or not. The Swedish word for Christmas is jul and that goes back much further than Christianity in Sweden. Hymns and carols are very much present, but are even more linked to Lucia which is Dec 13th. Now there are also a lot of people who attend church as well, julotta is a thing.
