With corn worth less than half beans per bushel I agree with the bagging decision. Last spring a friend had a bag split open when he started to load out. Thousands of bushels on the ground. Calling for rain. Word quickly got out. A bunch of Mennonite neighbors (he isn’t) showed up with trucks and equipment and by night you couldn’t tell there was ever a problem. 😁👍🌽😇

Raised on a tobacco farm in North Carolina in the 50'S and 60"s. Love the new way of doing thing and of course farming is in the blood. Farmers are all the same. Sitting around looking for things to do OR in the fields at 4:00AM and waiting for it to get light enough to work and will work until 10:00 PM :) IT is a good life but hard at times. The most painful and rewarding thing you can do. I enjoy all you videos.

We just started our beans today. We got 5 inches of rain and 2 inches of snow in 2 weeks and our ground is heavy clay but it was sunny n breezy the last week and a half. We still had to go around some spots and even made some deep roots but thank god for four wheel drive.

Kids are a blast at that age. Where I live, the corn has been picked for about a month. By now about 1/2 of the soybeans have been combined in a normal year. They were later this year than normal and we have been getting quite a bit of rain. I only know of one field that has been combined and the rain is almost here tonight.

It's weird... As someone who has never farmed and lives in a city away from major farm lands, I find these videos very interesting... Something about watching things being harvested is very relaxing..

This channel makes me remember being a kid living in rural northwest Indiana, envious of all the farm kids, wishing I could do what they do. But now I get to see and learn the things I always wanted to as a kid! These videos make me feel like I'm there with you being mentored, you do such an amazing job. I hope your life is as awesome as these videos show it to be and that your heart and soul are full! I do wish I had the chance to grow up living the lifestyle you have and I'm sure you know how lucky you really are.

137000 subscribers??!! That is a pretty awesome number. Zach, you have a very interesting channel and a really likeable personality. I grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. I'm a true cheesehead and a lifelong Packers Fan. I can't stand the Vikings. (We have a slightly different name we usually call them by!) And yet I keep coming back to your channel! That says a lot right there how about quality of your videos and your story. Keep up the great work! God, I miss the farming life!

Here’s a video I would like to see... if you went through a theoretical farm and go through the cash flow and how money is made. I’m live in a rural area but I’m not a farmer and I’ve always wondered how there is so much expense but you can still make money. Thanks! Great videos by the way!

Zach, Sometime can you explain for us none farmers why you need 2 combines for beans but not for corn when you plant close to 50% beans and 50% corn.

As a non farmer i love watching what you do but was just wondering what u do after youve finished harvesting everything? Is it just preparing all the land and equipment for next season and selling all the soy beans and corn you have stored? I say just but i know thats a hell of alot of work!
