Hello everyone, yet another local Derbyshire ride to get out & about on the bike. It is a lovely road/ bridleway loop for about 25 miles starting at Darley Abbey Park in Derby, following out along the Great Northern Greenway & passing through the following places & more; Locko Park, Hermits Wood, Brackley Gate & Dark Lane.

I'm surprised Hermits Wood wasn't a quagmire after the rain we've had. I've avoided it like the plague for the last few months. Nice ride BTW

Yes, I have avoided most of the bridleways on this route for a few months thinking exactly the same about them all being like swampy mud fests! So was pleasantly surprised that they were all reasonable dry & hard 😀

Hello brooksey I’m looking for the ride you did I want to save it to komoot from fridden car park passing thru Ashfield in the water along the monsal trail etc and back to fridden .. can you send me the link please Thanks Andy .

@@brooksey234 I think I’ve found it I’m heading up there later this week I live in heanor and done lots of routes you have on my e-bike like the Erewash canal and Attenborough and elvaston but looking for more routes .. I have a garmin 1030 plus and send routes to that .. I’ve not quite got used to the garmin yet it’s a bit hit n miss tbh .. I’ll send you the link I’ve found

@@brooksey234 even though I don’t think you start at fridden think it’s mini glow but I can start at fridden can’t I ??

@@andrewwhetton7 Yes sure, you can edit any route you find on Komoot, you just need to save it, then choose to edit it to suit what you like to do.
