Son and I spent the day in Joshua Tree CA to test and tune our group of 250cc 1986 and 1987 Quadracers.
Lineup and engine mods are:
1986-stock motor with FMF pipe
1986-milled head .015”, home port, Kenny Roberts cone pipe, Mikuni TM38 carb
1987-bone stock
1987- milled head .025”, home port, CT pipe, Kehein 38mm pwk.

That's right 85&86 will be fastest i have an 85 whit some modifications. And is fast also i have a lt500

People sleep on the 85/86's... with work they RIP!! We also have a quadzilla -- neat bike but I prefer the 250's.

I’m here for this !!!! Not too many lt250r videos or love out there in todays day and age ! I got a 1989 and 1991 lt250r ! If you are in the socal area we should ride one day

Awesome quads! I rode a friend's a long time ago and I still dream about that ride. I haven't seen one in person in 30 years. I always have had blasters. I have a 2001 I completely rebuilt now that I will never sell.

Yeah, they are a blast. I just uploaded the video of the actual races. Check it out.. good stuff. BTW.. i want to build a Blaster too! They are great little bikes
