I have to come here to clarify this because it seems like everyone knows who the group is when everyone are clearly naming groups just because they hate them or because they want attention.... Minhyuk said that it is a group that no longer promotes or is an old group. Minhyuk would never say the name of the group, BtoB are respectful idols, the only ones who will know the truth will be the people who have been there at that moment or who Minhyuk wants to tell them. There are groups that name that HAVE NOT BEEN PROMOTING on that date in which they were doing it. So stop being such a hater that it shows a lot. All those toxic people and who think they know who the group is bothers me a lot so when I have time I will delete unnecessary comments and with reasons for fighting. If you don't like people talking bad about your group, don't do it, If you do it and then complain when others do the same as you, that is totally hypocritical.

Comments pointing at EXO were actually so absurd. EXO and BtoB were friends and despite the 1 month difference of their debut, exo addressed btob as sunbaes. And, exo are pretty well known to being noisy on their waiting rooms as well because of their vocal warm-ups. Chen had to apologize publicly at monsta x bcs baekhyun and him were so loud that they almost ruined monsta x's vlive lmao

Their harmonization was perfecttttt. KPOP now is more dance and visual oriented. Groups NEVER sing live in their comeback shows anymore. They use a pre recorded version to make it sound live. It’s all about looking perfect.

Exactly! That's why it feels disappointing to see other fans encouraging their idols that lip sync is okay since choreo is hard and stuff. Like dude, i have been a fan of a group that always do live in all of their perfomances, especially on their concerts this year and even hearing them kind of tired on their last leg but still giving their best dancing while doing live singing is very much worth my money than seeing mannequins dancing.
I will say something very obvious, but this is for those who are not fans or are new to the fandom (? Minhyuk never said the name of the group and he won't say it, it's respect and something that happened a long time ago. Just saying, that even for groups with amazing vocal ability, sometimes lipsync is inevitable, once or twice. Problem is when the group rarely singing live.

i think that's why minhyuk offers the apink memory as a form of distinction. it was obviously a serious/rude demand from the other group as opposed to the joking nature of bap/apink (esp since like he said minhuyk understands that it's loud, and they are sorry to those next to them but they still have to prioritize vocal warm-ups and a good show above the comfort of others).

I... might have actually worked out which groups were active at the time but aren't now. About 7 years would be 2015, meaning It's Okay or Way Back Home. Assuming no hoobae group would be *that* insane to say that to a senior, and given the culture in Korean entertainment where it would be *doubtful* (but not impossible!) that a girl group would say that to a boy group... there's a really good candidate for consideration... given that there were only 4 boy groups... and 2 of them were duos. And the other group is pretty well regarded in K-pop. (oh whoops did I give it away within my sentence? maybe 🤔🤔)

I was a little disappointed that the groups didn't get to interact a lot during Kingdom, but when they did they basically forgot they were competing and just went crazy fanboying over each other. What I wouldn't give to be staff, or at least a fly on the wall for some of these events!
I did a little research and I reduced the list to a few groups because he said that they are not an active group, they do not use live vocals and he does not specify gender. If it's a June comeback, it could be AOA, 9Muses and Hotshot, if it's an October comeback, it could be Topp Dogg or Melody Day. Because other groups are still active. Although I do think it is quite rude to ask them to be quiet, I also feel like I,personally, enjoy complete quiet when I am getting ready for my dance performance. Sometimes I’ll put headphones on just to block the noise from other people. It just depends on how this group asked them though. Maybe it’s cause you’re a dancer and they are singers. I think it’s kinda his point that singers should sing. You kinda need to be loud and do a lot of warmups as a singer. I don’t think the no-noise preference is an option for singers, singers are encouraged to be loud, it’s expected, so if there’s anyone that doesn’t like it, singer might not be the suited profession for that person.

He never said that they were impolite or anything, he just compared the reaction with another singer that understands the importance of the warm ups.
