Really glad this video showed what specific brands you used - I definitely want to get into creating custom products in the future (mods + originals), and seeing this greatly helped! Also as one creator to another - definitely worth you using some affiliate links in the description to the products you used.
I have an Aluminum shell and a Brass shell from Boxy Pixel with Geek Tech Batteryless Save Flash cartridge guts inside. I use the Epilogue GB Operator to Flash. The Epilogue GB Operator also supports Rumble so I took Legend of the River King 2 and Dumped it and ran it through the Gameboy ROM Analyzer for Windows and changed the cartridge type to 1EH and fixed the header. This enables Rumble that was programmed into the Japanese version and just needs to be opened on the English version. It doesn't need the motor. Just the code. You will need to go to settings on the Epilogue GB Operator and set Rumble to on and you will need a Rumble controller. This is also playable with Rumble after this trick on the Pow Kiddy V90 with the Pocket Go Firmware Update. The Earthquake at the beginning will let you know if you did it right. Have fun. Way easier catching fish and battling is more fun. ❤😊
This was not at all what I expected but hella cool nevertheless. I have dabbled in GB development and wondered how to go about making a physical copy of a game without salvaging parts from any old games or buying cheap copies on the internet just to reflash them.
Thanks appreciate your kind words. :) But to point in a direction with your case: there is a developer named HDR who’s involved in making a diy cartridge from a raspberry pico. It is still in development but looks really promising. If that one is in working condition, i will def make a video about it :)
Hey Paul, my name is Paul too love your content if it wouldnt be such a money committment I would love to get into casting my own cartrdiges aswell or possibly to create a mastermold for possibly creating N64 cartrdiges with PET
Yes it is! But there are always more ways than one to tackle such a problem. For example, if you’re good with CAD or modeling in general i know for a fact that someone could help out with the money aspect. :) Hope that helps and i am looking forward what you are able to do in the future. ☺️
Hello! Thanks for your request. :) I really want to dive into making games myself, but the time commitment won’t let it happen any time soon. Sorry. :/ but a really good resource to start out is @PeterMilko He knows the stuff in and out. :) Cheers ✌🏻
