Whether you choose the dynamic, vibrant island of Trinidad or the more placid and serene Tobago, one thing is certain - the Inter-island Ferry Service affords you the opportunity to enjoy both worlds.
The fast ferry is the popular choice for vacationers and persons traveling daily between the islands of Trinidad & Tobago because it completes the 20 mile journey in a mere 3 hours - 31/2 hours. For those who wish to do commerce between the islands, the M.V. Cabo Star may be the vessel of choice.
Three passenger ferries - the T&T Spirit, the Jean De La Valette and the Galleons Passage, service the 20 mile route daily. The T&T Spirit & Jean De La Valette operate 6 days weekly (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday) and the Galleons Passage operating 4 days weekly (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Friday)

Great video and excellent tips. I like the sunny garden setting for your video. You're right about the best time to arrive at the ferry terminal, especially with a car. I am always amazed at how quickly the port staff gets the cars on the boat about half hour before sailing. They give great directions to park inside. You didn't mention the great views on the trip, but your video showed some of them. As the ferry leaves Trinidad and when approaching Tobago I think the best activity is to sit on the top deck and watch the scenery. It's so relaxing. Even the sea spray in your face is just part of the fun. After we pass the "five islands" and smaller ones, then I usually head back inside and take in the entertainment. Great tip on the loss of data and mobile signals. Sometimes I just sleep during that time. I'm gonna check out your other videos. Take care.

With the online ticket, do you need to go into the terminal when you get there or just join the line for the ferry?

Hey 👋🏼 If you are driving a vehicle 🚗 the. You just join a line. They will check your id and tickets 🎫 before allowing to join a second line to go onto the boat. As of now, you do not need to leave the car to go inside

@@Trini_Surfer I like to take my car on the ferry, as I don't have to go inside or carry my luggage. I stayed in the car and when I travelled alone with kids, they were allowed to stay in the car also. I just relaxed in the car and waited to drive on board.

Hey 👋🏼 There is definitely handicap access to the boat via ramps. And i have noticed that handicapped persons received excellent support from staff and crew members when i have been there. Perhaps of you or a loved one is handicapped, call the port in advanced to see what additional arrangements they can provide you with 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Yes they do have ramps for disabled access. I also recommend informing the staff in advanced for additional assistance

With the new ferries, they come equipped with elevators to facilitate the differently able. Through out the ferries there are wheelchair friendly aisles and wide aisles to facilitate easy movement of physically challenged individuals

Tobago was my getaway destination until the last few years. I agree with the arrival timing you suggested, it makes sense. How is the island though in terms of roads and infrastructure. Has the warmth of the people changed towards us trinis? I hear a lot of talk on the ground.

Hey 👋🏼 So the island infrastructure is basically the same if not slightly better. Its Tobago so you know time moves slow haha. But honestly I drive all over the country and never have any issues. The people seem to be as nice as ever😊. Yes there are a few bad eggs 🥚 but if you are decent and respectful of there home 🏠 then i fond most people treat you very well. Definitely head over, that place is a paradise
