What these negative posters said about annotating books or some have said "ruined" the book have a narrow mind. A lot of authors are overjoyed readers annotate their works. I 'loved' the comment (paraphrasing here) writing and marking up a book is selfish for the next person to read it --- hrm....who ever said the reader is lending out their book bought and paid for, some might and so what? Geesh people.
When I have the liberty to buy an overpriced books, I have the liberty to do what I want to them, including annotating and drawing on them!!! I love your annotations!! Thank youuuu for sharing
i have been dog earing and making notes in books since childhood. ...love the process and am interested in ways to use tabs to make my annotating a better reference tool .
I love annotating but I find it hard to make the annotation key( even after reading the first few chapters) so I like it when people that annotate put the annotation keys that they use/ show the keys that they use 😂😂
I've been listening to more audiobooks lately and I've been feeling like I'm missing something. Your video is reminding me why I need to slow down and read my physical books and annotate them because I love doing it!!🫶
I know how social media works (like "oh but you post it publicly so people are free to toss their two cents around blablabla") but those comments are really unnecessary. Book annotation is only a matter of preference and it shows how we really engage into the books. Love your annotation and don't let people say otherwise (of course they can waste their time and energy to say otherwise but don't let their opinions discourage you ❤
Howdy! I enjoyed the entire video and the thermal printer is such a good idea, as someone who has awful handwriting that would be amazing to use. I was wondering tho, with the thermal printer does it tear the page if you take it off or damage the book in anyway? Thank you in advance! 💕💕
i've never annotated a book in my life but why do other people care so much about what you do to YOUR books?? i just stumbled across your video to get some inspiration to annotate my first book ♥
excuse meeee but if you buy a book you get to annotate, scribble, doodle, hell you get to tare its pages and make roses off of it.. its not a public property and you get to choose whatever you want to do with it. you do you social media is filled with people who doesnt have better job to do than poking their noses to others business. i enjoyed watching thanks for sharing you insight :)
Hi, I just wanted to write here what this video meant for me. I feel that it is very beautiful that you honor your passion, break rules, that you just do what you like. And most importantly, by showing it, you give other people permission to do the same ❤ thank you
*PLEASE HELP ME!* I’ve been dreaming and wanting to annotate my books for a long time now, so here I am! *But, the problem is that it’s bleeding through the pages!* (AND IT’S MAKING ME SO FRUSTRATED😭)
Annotating a book is a personal interaction with the text. If someone buys a book and annotates it, I see no issue. It shows a deeper engagement with the author's work. Additionally, those who annotate are often stationery enthusiasts, adding to their bookworm status!
I fell in love with your bookstagram the second i saw you're annotations! i don't understand why people dislike it so much or call us selfish for annotating a book that's OURS. i love this video and would really appreciate links to the products you use, especially those cases you keep your tabs in, they're super cute! Thankyou for another awesome video
Omg exactly! And when I have gotten a book from someone that is annotated, I like it because it gives insight into what that person was thinking. And if I want to annotate it too, I can just use a diff color / style of annotating, like sticky notes
I don't understand all the hate and negativity towards readers who annotate. I've fallen back in love with reading from doing this. I feel like there is a new intimacy with reading I've discovered, it's almost like I'm sharing all thoughts and opinions with the author. If you don't like to do this then you do you but I don't understand why people then get angry about you writing in your OWN copy of the book, lol.
hello, i also bought them from shopee. but if you’re not from the philippines, they’re also available on amazon. you can type in “small organizer” for when you search for it 🌷✨
Wow! Thank you for sharing it; I was looking for ideas! By the way, my books are colourful. Someone mentioned 'ruined' - I hope they find joy in enjoying our reads.
