Thanks 4 the nice review, guys. As 4 me, I like using compression type hazers, like Antary HZ400/500. Yes, it makes some oil condensation around, but the aria ain't such lagre. Just plase it somewhere outside the stage and use fan to blow. I don't use CO2 based hazers just becourse it's too expensive - you need to buy not fluid only, but CO2 tank as well. The cheepest solution for low budget churches that I use is the normal heating type smoke mashine outside the stage + fan + low diffusion fluid. It works.

I use this same hazer and its great, I would highly recommend it. I think one thing to point out is that the Co2 is the propellent. It still uses an oil based fluid (food grade mineral oil). The advantage of the Co2, in my opinion, is that you don't need a compressor (like with the DF50) so it is so much more quieter. But over time, it does seem to use much less fluid and is much cheaper to maintain. I ordered mine direct through Pea Soup and their customer service is amazing.

I wonder if one could use smaller Co2 tanks to make a more portable hazer. How long does your large Co2 tank last?
@georgeellison926
@georgeellison926 2 года назад
@@dkerwood1 You can. I use a small 5 lb Co2 tank. My Pea Soup unit shipped in a wheeled road case, which actually has a slot for the tank to sit in so the unit is completely self contained. Just remove the cover of the case and the unit us ready to operate.

We upgraded our water based hazer to a CO2 hazer and it made a big difference. Especially for the video quality it was a game changer. And also in person the beams look a lot cleaner and the dispersion is a lot better. I can recommend the MDG ATMe.

Does such Co2 hazer activate fire alarms?
@steve01010
@steve01010 Год назад
@@sammieboy1996 A lot of that depends on the type of sensors that are in your HVAC system, but it's less likely for the alarm to be set off with a C02 hazer. The best thing you can do is rent or borrow the hazer you're considering. Then you can work with someone who can put your alarm system into test mode and pump the room full of haze and see if you can reach the amount of haze you would like to have or until the system alarm is triggered.

We have a large ventilation system that moves a lot of air (joys of Church in Hot Africa), I wonder how long it would last with us.
@peasoupltd
@peasoupltd 2 года назад
Good question! If your ventilation system is recirculating the haze laden air, the vast majority of Phantom haze will go back into the space as your HVAC will likely not filter out the sub-micron haze particles as small as those produced by the Phantom Hazer. But if it's actively extracting the air, then it may not be as effective. Speed of air movement will not make the haze evaporate or disappear, ie lots of fans blowing it around. In terms of ambient heat, the haze is temperature resistant to 135 celcius (275 farenheit) so Africa ready!

Thanks for the info. You have a great channel. Seeing others in conference room events in hotels, tripping the fire alarm has been an issue. How can false alarms be avoided while using a hazer?
@MrWillihelmdueck
@MrWillihelmdueck 2 года назад
You have to turn off the alarm for the duration that you use the hazer. In Germany we have to have trained personnel that is assigned to watch for fire and react appropriately in case.
@dkerwood1
@dkerwood1 2 года назад
Different smoke alarms react differently, depending on how they detect "smoke." Obviously, heat sensors are no problem. The biggest issue is if it's reading particles in the air. I've heard that some smoke detectors trip with oil-based haze more easily than water-based, but I have seen no data to back that up. Your best bet is to do the bare minimum that's necessary to see the beams in the air, no more. Otherwise, hire an off-duty fire marshall to come in and stand by the alarm while you're testing in your space. See what it would actually take to trip the alarm in that controlled environment, then use that as a benchmark to avoid when actually running your service.

We've used non CO2 fog machines before, but at our church it sometimes wants to set off the fire alarm. Not a worshipful experience. Does anyone know if a CO2 hazer would fix that problem?
@peasoupltd
@peasoupltd 2 года назад
The CO2 is invisible - it's only used as a propellant, but the haze particles produced by the Phantom Hazer are so small they are least likely of any unit to trigger ionisation type smoke detectors. You also require about 90% less fluid in the atmosphere to produce a similar, if not better, haze density than with a water-based unit. Ideally though, it would be worth considering changing the detector type from smoke detectors to heat detectors if you can.

We use an MDG ATMe hazer (also CO2) at my church. Just upgraded to it a few months ago from the Ultratec Radiance. Ive found the CO2 hazers produce incredible haze quality but the cost is hard to swallow. I would argue that for most churches looking to get into atmospherics, CO2 is not a necessity. Most other midrange non CO2 hazers on the market make a really nice haze. CO2 is certainly the way to go though if your church has the budget

Maybe someone here in the comments can help me. I’ve got two chauvet 4d’s in a room that has about 200-300 seats. The hvac ducts run across the room dumping air and one of the returns is at one end and huge. I can’t seem to get the haze to hang very long and the hazers running are a big distraction. Anyone got some tips?

We run a couple Mega-FX hazers for a 600 seat worship center. Usually does a good job covering the stage and above lighting. We have our hvac above the congregation but the intakes are on each side of the platform. We tend to have issues with fire alarms going off when too much is pumped in. You may to practice with it during a rehearsal and see how long you need to run it for. We’ve had to do this in order to be able to know how much to pump in the room. We also only run it during worship which is about 15-20 minutes. Hope that helps somehow!

 @Cory King Run them at a low fog rate for a longer period of time before "showtime". if you run the fog rate low enough they shouldn't be too distracting visually. You can ramp up the fan speed with the fog rate to help disperse it quicker.

It uses a very small amount of CO2. For reference, a 20lb tank at my church will last us about a month and a half being used roughly 10 hours a week
@peasoupltd
@peasoupltd 2 года назад
Excellent question! The Phantom Hazer uses about 4 grams of CO2 per minute when making haze, whereas a human exhales about 0.6 grams of CO2 per minute just from breathing. So it's about the same CO2 output as having about 7 people in the room (when the unit is actually making haze, that is - so in this video those 7 breathing people would be in the room only for how long they are making haze, so about 1.5 minutes every 3 hours). If you prefer you can also use nitrogen gas with the unit. Nitrogen makes up 78% of the air we breathe.

Sorry but nowadays design many times seems more important than diving into the realm and Spirit of God. I am not against design though and for a church stage to be attractive there's not much against it. But I have been sitting in services where the Glory Cloud of God was present which will happen if people would care more of seeking His presence than being destracted by lot's of fancy stuff going on. And to be honest when worshipping I couldn't care less about lightnings and hazers and what not since mostly with my eyes closed I am endeavouring to get lost in the Presence of my God and to encounter Him! As I said I am not against church design and especially not if people with a prophetic Spirit of God upon them are creating it. After all whatever you do must serve to help the people being ushered in into His Presence while to me with all that fancy stuff we can play around with we are going overboard at times and pulling attention into the wrong direction. And especially when it comes to hazers...guys, no. Just, no.

Why do churches even have nice buildings or use any technical stuff at all? For real tough, don‘t we live in the 21st century and church wants to reach people living in the 21st century? Technology is part of our life and i believe the church should use it to reach people. If a visually appealing stage helps to reach more people, why not use haze as one of those visual elements?

@@Patrickonzales where do we draw the line? Is a $100,000 rotating globe behind Joel Osteen acceptable?
@Patrickonzales
@Patrickonzales 2 года назад
@@quintonburton9205 this is a good question and for sure not for every church the same. Our church is considering a LED wall and i am not really sure if this is reasonable, to spend so much money? For sure it will look awesome but is it worth that much? One argument why we may buy it will be that the room will be used for other events as well. So where you draw the line depends on your church situation. And to your second question about the globe, his church is very big and sure he won‘t have a decoration for 100$, if it‘s worth to spend 100000 on a globe? I don‘t know. I would have spent it another way😉
