WayV debuted in 2019, it's the newest NCT unit. That's why Kun was inactive member of NCT for a few years - his first ever NCT song was "Without you (Chinese Version)" by NCT U in 2016, but since then he didn't do anything, until his debut with WayV in 2019. So he wasn't "inactive in WayV for a few years" as you guys thought, because WayV didn't exist up until 2019 ;) SM just introduced Kun at the very NCT beginning, then kept him in the closet or something for 3 years, to finally release him in 2019 as the leader of the new unit, WayV. Everyone was excited that we can see him again. I applaud his patience for those 3 years of nothing.. And Winwin is inactive in NCT 127 right now, because he is in WayV as well. It's not really a sad thing, although I miss his interactions with NCT 127 members. WayV are promoting in China, it's the Chinese unit (all the members of WayV are from China or of Chinese descent). Winwin can't do promotions in China, Korea and the US at the same time, it would be exhausting, so since the WayV's debut in 2019 he's focusing on China, while NCT 127 are promoting in Korea and the US without him. He was with NCT 127 from their debut in 2016 to 2019, then in 2019 he debuted again with WayV, but SM didn't officially say that he's no longer a member of NCT 127.

Kun was technically still a trainee when he recored "Without You" so that was a pre-debut song for him. His official debut with NCT wasn't until NCT2018. He literally has the most confusing debut timeline ever. I believe part of the reason why he didn't actually debut until 2018 despite being featured in 2016 was probably because he was attending university at the time and graduated in 2018.

i recommend watching these types of videos before the crack ones nct foreign members vs the korean language (parts 1-5) nct and their big sibling energy (parts 1-3) what's going on with nct lately (parts 1-2) nct speaking english but there's only one braincell how nct recorded a double selling million album

I know a lot of people are already recommending crack videos however I recommend watching videos from their official NCT channels like NCT daily instead of crack videos because you won’t really understand them since you are new to the group and can’t differentiate them yet. Once you can tell most of them apart then those types of videos will make much more sense to you. 😁👍

Once your done this guide, you should watch NCT Cracks and stuff like that, also watch ones that you actually understand. Don't watch ones that have a tone of Inside jokes because you'll feel left out!

Once you get to know them a little more you should react to nct world 2.0 where all the 23 members participate. You should also react to nct life where there are different 'seasons' with different members (maybe smart to watch from oldest to newest) To help put faces to names you can watch nct 24hr relay cam where each member vlogs for 1 hour (1 member get 2 hours) each episode is about 10-23 minutes.

Also the names with 'ae' is pronounced like how you pronounced Haechan. So the 'ae' Taeil, Taeyong, Jaehyun and Jaemin is not pronounced aei. It's not that important but good to know.

Before Resonance albums (the ot23 comeback) not all of the members were part or had a song in Nct U, but since this album was full of songs on the U style (each song of the album had different combinations of members) now every one is considered part of U (plus Sungchan and Shotaro - the newly added members- are just part of U since they weren’t assigned a unit yet)

if you guys get confused by the comments explaining kun’s name i want to help a little. the korean way to pronounce his name and the way literally all members say his name who aren’t chinese is “ k-oon “ now the way you would say it the chinese way is kinda like “qwin”. it’s sorta different but a lot of nctzens just go by the korean way to say his name bcs the chinese way is harder for a lot of us and it gets butchered so much.

45:22 that was 2016 SBS gayo daejun opening show. It was a collab stage of one of best dancers of the idol groups like there were Seulgi from Red Velvet, Jimin from BTS, Yugyeom and Jinyoung from Got7, Momo and Mina from Twice, Ten from Nct, Lisa from Blackpink and more on the same stage

I don't know why people find NCT Concept confusing. It is just a one big group with four subunits! 🤷🏻‍♀️ And each sub-units' concept is not that hard to understand I think. 127- group based in Korea. Dream- the youngest member, and WayV- chinese-based unit.

NCT U is just a rotational unit, the members for each song depends on what's needed for the concept. Because of NCT2020 and how they split the songs every member has been in U (any group line up for the songs in NCT202p that wasn't 127, Dream, or WayV was classified as NCT U)

I have to say, you're doing amazing. The only thing i'd like to point out is your pronunciation of "Kun". I don't know how to explain this, it's something like "Koo-uhn". But beside that, you're really doing great. But I think it would be easier for you guys if you'll focus on one unit, then you'll start getting into next unit, etc. That's how I got into NCT. I started with NCT127, then NCT Dream and finally WayV

Can I give a suggestion to help you quickly learning about all the members. Don't take it as 23. Break it down, learn through units. 127(10 mem) + Dream(7) + WayV(7) + 2 new members(Sungchan & Shotaro). It is the easiest way, but Im not saying that you chose wrong guide, this guide is perfect for the introductions to members but to remember them, unitwise way will be the best way. Also the sum here comes 26 coz we have overlapping members too. Haechan and Mark are in both 127 & Dream and Winwin is in WayV & 127. Now the NCT U case. These guides sometimes say that every member is not in U, but that is WRONG, Just remember that all 23 are in U because as it stands for UNITED meaning all of them and whenever U song will come you can get any combination out of 23 members or maybe all of them like Resonance. Another thing is if we talk about NCT it includes all units because sometimes people misunderstand that WayV is in not NCT, only in U. ALL of them are NCT first before belonging to their respective units. And in future Shotaro and Sungchan will also join some unit(maybe a new unit to be formed in future as NCT will proceed to grow big in members), until then they are in U. I HOPE IT WAS HELPFUL.

I think a nice way to learn more s it’d each of their personalities individually is through their 24hr relay cam series. It’s a vlog series taking place in a single day where each member gets an hour out of the day to vlog. They’re pretty short and simple and you should be able to fit 2-3 maybe even 4 in one video. Just be mindful to go in order :)

Honestly I think the easiest way to remember the members is remembering them by their units instead of age order. That's what helped me remember them.

Clarification regarding Kun, his debut is a bit confusing. He did participate in NCT U's "Without You" Chinese Version but he was still considered a trainee at the time. So "Without You" chinese version is technically a pre-debut release for him. Officially on paper, he debuted with NCT2018. But he didn't have a song on the album, though "Without You" Chinese ver was included on it. His debut song was technically with WayV with "Regular". At one of the reasons why he didn't actually debut until 2018 I believe is due to the fact he was still attending university at the time and finally graduated in 2018. Funfact, he is the only NCT member who graduated from university and has a bachelors degree.

Just found your vids starting the NCT journey..can't wait for it. Just a suggestion, after watching the guides, it might be a bit of easier to remember their names in groups of their birth year (we refer to it as Line) 94L: Taeil (pronounced Tay-il) 95L: johnny, taeyong, yuta 96L: doyoung, kun (not Q), ten - czenies also refer to them as the savage line LoL 97L: Jaehyun (he's english name is Jay, the one doing 'I like me better' cover) & winwin 98L: jungwoo. (At least for me, helps me faster in memorizing the names LoL. Then matchung names with faces LoL.) Looking forward to more NCT videos..

im so excited! you'll love them theyre such a funny group. also the name of the chinese members might be hard to pronounce so heres the list of them and how its pronounced! just wanted to help so ppl wont get frustrated on yalls pronounciation lol (just wanted to comment this early so, keep this in mind hehe) winwin - rlly easy so no need to lol chenle - cheon-leo/chun-luh renjun - leon-jwin/lun-jun kun - kwun lucas - it isnt like the eng pronounciation ?? the 'c' is like a 'k' so like, lu-kas xiaojun - the 'x' is pronounced as 'sh'. its kind of like the 'sha-' in shallow/shao-jun hendery - hen-dery yangyang - young-young/the 'a' is like 'ah'

Good job guysss!!! Cant wait for part 2. Btw it’s not gonna be that hard once you start reacting to each unit ^^ it’s basically just like remember 3 different groups and you wont mixed up one another~

Just a friendly reminder that if you guys wanted to react to some nctzens youtube contents after learning about nct, lots of their crack vids got a lot of inside jokes inserted so you guys might not understand and some captions are very fast (some also got a lot of curses and weird memes which is so cringy). Anyways im so happy you guys are genuinely trying to learn about nct😂 i recommend nctzens channels like Cherryverse and jaehyunthepeach.
