Hi, The two tram lines 1 and 2 (of which obviously only one line is considered a tram) are operated by two different companies as I have learners today. I bought a ticket for line 1 and was caught in line 2 (on the very same tracks) and had to pay a fee of 1960 Forint. It is quite hard to get the idea that you have to buy a ticket for a specific line as a n arriving tourist imho. Or Is it just me? 🤪

Dear Frederik! (I don't speak English, I apologize for the mistakes in the translation program!) I'll tell you a secret! You can take part in a European tour in Szeged for just over 1 Euro! At the foot of the Bertalen bridge, you have to get on bus 77. That is, the trip starts at the Roman Circuit, travels by bus along the Brussels Circuit, continues its journey on the Berlin Circuit, then travels on the Paris Circuit, followed by the London Circuit, continues its journey on the Moscow Circuit, and finally ends its European tour on the Vienna Circuit in. ☺ There is no other city like this in the world where you can take part in a European tour within the city limits! ☺

Well, definitely cheap by Danish standards but median monthly salary in Hungary is around 280k net nowadays, that is 700EUR (!)...compare that with the 1EUR ice cream and also with the salaries in Denmark...after all, you come to realise that purchase power-wise Hungary is one of the poorest countries in Europe and families struggle to make ends meet :(((

Hey Peter, I know what and I am also seeing it with my own eyes now, But this video was mostly for foreigners. Also think, that compared to salary, the ticket prices are cheaper than in Denmark

@@FrederikCorneliustravel Well, public transportation and culture have always been massively subsidized by the state/municipalities since communist times in Hungary, however that comes at a price...
