Please do the long guides. They are so much better and spoilers aren’t even that bad cause you hear like 3 seconds out of a song and that just makes you wanna listen to more but it doesn’t spoil anything cause you are eventually gonna listen to the song anyway.
Here is a quick explanation for everything you were confused about: You can think of the word Ace as getting straight A's in school. Like basically you are good at everything. Sub-units means a tiny group formed within the group. Hence the name sub-unit. So there are tiny mini-groups in Straykids. 3racha is the producing team, danceracha is the dance team, and vocalracha is the vocal team. The animal pictures on the corner were of their toy stuffed animal brand. Each member represents a specific animal. Bang Chan - Wolf Lee Know - Bunny Changbin - Bunny + Pig (Dwaekki "dway-key" is one of his most known nicknames) Hyunjin - Ferret Han - Quokka (which is like a squirrel which is why you saw him stuffing his cheeks with food like a squirrel) Felix - Baby Chicken Seungmin - Puppy I.N - Fox Aegyo (eh-gi-yo) - is when you try to act cute/baby-like it is mainly a trend in Korea which is why its a bit weird to people who don't really live there, but as you deep dive into KPOP you will see how apparent aegyo is. Maknae (mahk-nay) - Korean word for youngest. Usually the youngest are the most taken care of. I.N is Stray Kids maknae. In every KPOP group the maknae has a special title. For Straykids, I.N is maknae on top. For BTS, Jungkook is the golden maknae. Bang Chan and Felix are Australian. However, Bang Chan was born in Korea but moved to Australia at a very young age.

the guide is missing some key personality points. Lee know is a hilarious menace.. and a bit intimidating at times.. the other members love it though. Han is a serious Rap genius, and is INCREDIBLE at doing freestyle rap, he also loves to make other members laugh. Hyunjin is a dance genius and has some incredible solo dances. Bangchan-Changbin-and Han together make the subunit 3racha. They are the main producers of Stray kids and also put out a lot of pre-debut rap tracks.
I was surprised at hyunjin's entry honestly, no mention of his dancing and the "stage presence" examples were pretty lacklustre... there are so many great examples.
The guide you watched is more on the fun side but also doesn't really explain the sub-units. I highly recommend TeaNoSuga's guide to Stray Kids 2023 edition, it will further enlighten you on the group's organization and especially each member ! However, it does have song spoilers so I suggest you mute or skip those parts.
I recommend checking out another guide. This one was very basic and there is so much more info they didn't even touch on. I.N is the maknae which means youngest in Korean. I think it's important to note that writing, composing and producing their own music is not common in KPop. Bang Chan chose his members which is also not common.
20:40 It's just cause the guide shows you the examples but Seungmin almost NEVER raps. It's like a once per year miracle to hear him rap. But each time he does he is amazingly good for some shocking reason.
I would suggest checking out "FAM" the Korean MV version Its cute they introduce each other by complimenting them by rap. I think you'd enjoy it and its a great way to introduce the members
Chan is known as a father of 7. He’s the oldest by a whole year, and they love to remind him of that. I also would recommend longer guides, especially for larger groups like SKZ. Even if there’s spoilers, it’s not a huge one, and you might hear songs that you want to react to. But, it’s up to you if you really prefer not to ☺

I think you would like Xdinary Heroes they’re a band under JYP (the same company as Stray Kids) and their music is amazing! They don’t have many songs out yet as they debuted pretty recently but I recommend watching their music videos: Happy Death Day, Test Me, Strawberry Cake, Haircut, Xmas, Freakin’ Bad, Good Enough. They also have covers and live clips of their songs on their channel! Also the longer guide is really useful, Stays don’t mind the longer videos so if you have the time then enjoy! It gives you a lot more information about the members and how the group came to be. It doesn’t really have spoilers as they’re only a couple of seconds for each song so if anything it’ll make you want to hear more! 😊
(I apologise in advance for the long comment 👀😅) First, thank you for the reaction and wanting to learn more about Stray Kids! 😊 Regarding the photo at the end, the members from left to right top row are Seungmin, I.N, Felix, Bang Chan, Lee Know, bottom row Han, Changbin, Hyunjin. I mean you got half of them right I think, even though you struggled 😂👍🏻 (side note: the deep voice from Maniac is Felix indeed, but Hyunjin does the 2nd chorus, his voice is just overlayed with Felix' voice to make it sound deeper) Regarding the guide: It gives some basic info and is ok, but doesn't show the members' personality in a deeper way. It could've also shown more of their talent/skills. I know you rather don't want spoiler, so there would be a spoiler-free guide (2022) by kelsthekiller that does a pretty good job! But the long one from 2023 by teanosuga would also be a good idea if you want to (lots of info for sure). Additionally, a tip for remembering their names and faces more, would be their song 'FAM' (MV of the korean version) where they introduce the group from the youngest to oldest member. Now regarding some of your questions: - Stray Kids is a younger group than for example Bts as they debuted in 2018 - They already have a large discography with around 160+ songs. They don't really have official solo stuff yet, but they released solos/duets on yt (playlists 'SKZ-Record' & 'SKZ-Player') and released these on the digital album 'SKZ-Replay' last year - A few words that threw you off: Maknae = youngest (so I.N is the youngest of the group), Aegyo = acting cute (it's a kpop thing), Quokka = Australian animal (marsupial, cute, puffy cheeks) - The animal costumes they are wearing in the photos in the top left corner are their representative animals called 'SKZOO' (for merch etc.): Bang Chan - Wolf, Lee Know- Rabbit, Changbin - 'Dwaekki' (mix of Pig + Rabbit), Hyunjin - Ferret, Han - Quokka (often referred to as squirrel as well bc of his cheeks), Felix - Chick, Seungmin - Puppy/Dog, I.N - Fennec Fox Lastly I try to explain the sub units a bit more that they divide themselves into (there are 3): - 3Racha (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han): producing unit (produced nearly all of skz songs), pre-debut rap/hip-hop trio (they still make some rap tracks sometimes like 'Heyday' or '3Racha') - Danceracha (Lee Know, Hyunjin, Felix): dance unit, often in the center for performances (they obviously sing/rap as well though) - Vocalracha (Seungmin, I.N): vocal unit (mostly vocal parts in songs, have some song covers up on their yt channel) You could also divide them into who's more focused on rap/vocals: - Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix would be the rap line - Bang Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin and I.N would be the vocal line (you can nearly add Han to the vocal line too as he has lots of vocal parts since the beginning) - It's all still very fluid as you see all of them doing everything from time to time. Hii guys btw bang chan is actually an Aussie too he was born in Korea but moved to Sydney Australia at a very young age but then for felix he was actually born and raised in Australia and he didn’t even know hardly any Korean and he actually had to learn it in which he did very fast. BUT! I will recommend watching more lengthy more detailed guides as much as this is an updated one it just doesn’t go into every member probably and I think you guys can be helped by watching a longer guide bc you will learn so so much more as well. Also the sub-units are just sections of the group so we have 3racha consisting of bangchan, Han, changbin they are the producing team and yk how you guys were like oh chan created all these songs but actually 3racha did as they are a producing team so they legit from scratch create samples, lyrics, backing tracks everything. The second subunit is danceracha consisting of lee know, felix and hyunjin and obvs by the name you can tell it is the dance team of then group they all help choreograph (especially lee know, as you saw in the video) but they help the members out a lot, then finally vocal racha who is consisting of 2 member who are seungmin and I.N obvs by the name again they are the main vocalists of the group. I wanted to say also that bc of these subunits doesn’t necessarily mean that they are only in one section basically all of them can sing dance and rap exceedingly well and they have all written at least 2-5 songs well other than 3racha who have written hundreds and hundreds but they all have there own solo songs that I think you should check 100%. •Quokka is actually an animal it kinda reminds us of a squirrel which is the reason why we call Han quokka is bc he looks like one first of all then second of all when he eats (this was shown in the video) he stuffs his cheeks with food. Now ik i practically spoiled quite alot but I promise you I defo didn’t mean to lmao I’m just trying to help but yeah. •Yk where it was with changbin rapping and it was kinda like a red background and he was in a denim jacket well that performance was actually on a show called kingdom where 6 or so groups compete against each other and have to be ranked on there performances and that performance was one of them it’s called “gods du dududu” which is actually blackpinks song “dudududu” but they modified in there way and the gods part of the song is from there song gods menu!! •LAST THING: the guide doesn’t state this but they actually debuted as a 9 member group not 8 member but in October of 2019 there 9th member left bc of many reasons if you want to do your own research then ofc do it but his name was actually Kim woojin he is now a soloist and he doesn’t get spoke abt in these bc obvs he is not in the group so this also a reason to not watch any guide from those times obvs watch content from them obviously but yeah I just wanted to let you guys know. On the one where they were showing off Han’s high note they were doing a cover of a song and Han + Seungmin preformed the vocals and the verses were supposed to be preformed by 4 people, and for Changbins raps, they were supposed to be preformed by 2 people.
For Han, he is known to be the ''Quokka'' which is a small macropod about the size of a domestic cat and basically looks like another version of a hamster or a squirrel. (Han also have very round cheeks just like the Quokka). And the other members of the group all have their own animal version of themselves and it's also like their own nicknames. 😊 And Felix and Bang Chan are both Australian 😁

Lee know is amazing! His vocals improved even more, he is regularly taking vocal lessons Before debut he was in a dance crew as the guide didn’t say with people who now famous choreographers and make lots of kpop dance choreos for groups too. Lee know was the youngest in the crew. He is a true professional dancer He got to jyp and debuted with just few weeks!! While all others trained years to debut. He was the fastest in WHOLE JYP COMPANY to pass basic dances -in two weeks (previous record was Momo from Twice with 1 month. Many artist in jyp took YEARS to pass it, and some even didn’t pass) Lee know is really the best ❤
Btw quokka is an animal or the animal that represents him. Like with all the members in animal costumes that is the animal that represents them like chan is a wolf and changbin is a pig rabbit thing.
Honestly I’d say watching TeaNoSuga’s video on them is worth the “spoilers” it’s only small clips of some songs but the information is so much more in depth!
in terms of the sun units: i think that each take a part in making the performances 3racha (bangchan, changbin, han) was originally a group of rappers together during their training, so pre debut. in order to make music pre debut they needed to produce it themselves, and they continue to use those skills with skz. they also write many skz songs danceracha (lee know, felix, hyunjin) r often involved with jyp’s choreographers to make the choreography. this group is also called visualracha since it includes the group’s 3 visuals vocalracha (seungmin, in) r the vocalists and the youngest 2 members sometimes the subunits will work to have a song with only the unit on an album, or they will perform covers in their specific area (rap, dance, vocals) during concerts

I can explain the basically a sub unit is like a different line in k pop groups in this group their three sub units like 3 racha is called a group of three rappers in which bang chan and han bin comes and their is dance racha which is specifically a sub group for three dancers one them is lee know the other two I dont remmeber and then comes the vocal line group which also has three memebers.

They call themselves 3racha (like the hot sauce siracha but with a 3 at the beginning). Because of their name they call all small groups or sub-unit something with "racha" in it. So the there guys that are strongest in dance are Danceracha and the other is Vocalracha (because Seugmin and IN focus on singing). For fun any combo of member doing something as a small group gets a fun "racha" name. Just becomes a fun little joke. 🙂

Wow, it was super fun to watch this, like idk if youd want to, but listening to their music in like oldest to newest is kinda cool cause you see ho they grow, but im sure like I'll enjoy whatever you react to and like in whatever order Also, Skz code is like theyre personal variety show and can really help with learning their personalities, super recommend watching it, its also just like pretty hilarious Um, then I'll just add some facts about my bias, Lee Know (theyre all great and deserve hype) So he's the dance leader, he's sometimes considered the Mom of the group, along with Changbin, they are considered Bang Chan's right and left hand, he only trained one month before they started their survival show, but he did have like a professional career but no singing or rapping training before that (like next shortest training period was Felix with 6-7 months and the longedt was Bang Chan at 6-7 years), Hes the best cook of the group, and when he actually has free time, he'll cook or bake things fir people He's currently a host on one of the korean music shows, and appears like every saturday as long as it doesnt interfere in his stray kids schedule and will be a special host at a concert in a couple days for the thing he host He's maybe considered as like the more... scary member, but hes actually really sweet lol... but also yeah, kinda scary, in a good way 😂😂, He gives the different charities, He's the weakest at English, but hes worked on it and his Japanese is pretty good Yeah, theres more, but im sure this is enough to start 😅
