@MrMusic1984 He's a big guy. Organ shoes are designed to fit pretty tight. I've seen a few other larger dudes that didn't wear organ shoes for that reason. Don't get me wrong: he plays exremely well; he's just a big guy and that makes things a bit tougher lol.
Can someone name the piece used beginning at 2:55 or so? Mr. Curley also used it on a documentary about pipe organs on a Canadian program called "The Nature Of Things", used there as a feature song. Being that that episode was part of my beginning fascination with the pipe organ, that piece (and Culey performing it) hold strong memories for me.
Thank you for sharing. I seldom get to play on larger organs, so when I find a video of someone explaining stops that I would not normally see it is very nice. Most of the organs around here are less than 4 ranks, with one 10 rank theater organ (which I get to play weekly), a 16 rank tracker (which I try and play when I can), and a 37 rank organ (where I should just stop by and see if they let me in...) I do have a question: The toggle switches above the top manual, how are they different?
