Magnifique . Morten has a secret of youth. I love all of him: the way he hold hiss head, the way he walks , the way he close his eyes, and his wonderful voice. He's got something: maybe the grace of Gods. And what a beautiful music and video !
we in Canada have a group called the Rankins.. lyrics of this song sound like something they would do.. The Rankins like A-Ha were so under-rated ~!!!!!.. so much unappreciated talent .. keep going A-Ha
I like this band since 2002 when they was in Riga :) It was the biggest concert in Latvia, more than 30000 ppl. Also I was on their rehearsal, it was amazing!!! I was standing near Morten Harket, but didn't have a camera..
Totally fantastic video. I found a rocknreview site that shows where another band member contributed this song and most of the lyrics. They all do that apparently in the band, do their solo stuff then bring it together. I like the sound, it's catchy, and I think the guys sound as good (and look as good, too, important for us gals to see!) as 20 years ago. Yummy and most importantly, it's nice to have fresh sounds from such creative artists of former decades!
Good video, great song! As many have said though where are Paul and Magne in this video they are hardly seen! I have never seen an a-ha video which is so focused on Morten! I wish they were releasing the single and album earlier in the UK!
This is an amazing song with a great video, it is a shame that they are splitting up next year on December 4th 2010, I am seeing them at the O2 in November 2009 and hopefully taking some offical photos of them for the event, crossing my fingers and hopefully when their world tour hits the U.K again in June 2010,
I think this is going to be a huge album for them. There are songs on this album that could be easy #1 hits.. the best songs they have recorded since getting back together. But, I will agree that for me "East of The Sun" & "Memorial Beach" are my 2 favorite albums. If they had been promoted in the USA when released A-HA would have never left the music scene in the USA. If you wanted A-HA to be a rock-n-roll band, these were the albums. They were #1 ROCKERS/POP stars! And Morten sizzled then!

a-ha has from their 1990 album East of the Sun west of the moon to Memorial Beach ( 1993 ), Minor Earth Major Sky ( 2000 ), Lifelines ( 2002 ) to and including their 2005 album Analogue used piano and keyboard both on albums and live sets. It's been a long time since a-ha has used synths and sequenzers. ( Which they do on this recent album )

It is a very good video, serendipity20! And, I agree that a little more Magne & Pal would have been nice, but lets get real here... ALMOST every video centers around Morten! From the first one "TOM" to this one! Some have a feel of the three of them together, with no real central person, but he always get more screen time! When the video is a concept video, there is usually a central character & that is Morten. It is what it is... has been... will be! It's just the nature of the beast!!!!
latest 3 album form them ( early 200 till now) was awesome melodic and mellow it's get better and better .. but how come (in this century)they didn't bigger than coldplay or even keane i means for young listeners!! why why why minor earth major sky, summer move on, cozy prison..etc come one .... god help us for save good music

" akkiles08 " : That is BS. a-ha never oficially split in 1993. They simply decided to take a pause. A pause that became alot longer than they had planned. However they have released 4 studio albums sice 2000 + greatest hits album, live album, singles DVD, book and been on several tours. There is no personal reasons why they could'nt tour the US,, when they can tour everywhere else.

I wish their label would partner up with it's US division and get this new album out here. I think it would do quite well at AA radio and lighter pop/rock stations I'd also love to see them re-release the older albums remastered and put "Minor Earth, Major Sky", "Lifelines", and "Analogue" out here finally half of my friends didn;t even know these guys made a record after "Memorial Beach" nbecause they never came out in the US sad :-(
Doubtful that a-ha will reach nr. 1 in the UK. The gap betwen spot nr. 1 album sales and a-ha's current spot is a little to big i think. But hopefully 2 or 3. Atleast in the top 5.
The US however is a very commercial place, and I think that that is the problem that a-ha has with the country. Artistic freedom is very important to the band.
Why do you discuss about inspirations? Everyone inspires everyone today, so of course, A-ha is not exeption either. I think the effect of A-ha on Keane is bigger than reverse. I mean A-ha is much better, Keane and Coldplay must survive more than 20 years too and then we can make a comparison.
