I still remember when I bought my first a-ha dvd in 2001 (I was 14) and today, after a long time, I managed to rip the entire content. The interview follows.

Paul talks more in interviews thanks to Morten’s help. He (Morten) used to encourage him to be more open at people. He gave him self-confidence and he also helped Paul to not to be afraid and to use the abilities he has. Both have big egos and they are in their own world. They are so different, yes. They have musical’s differences, of course. But, they respect each other. Both have a very unusual friendship. Most of the time is not mentioned it. Pal and Mags have been friends since they were kids. While Morten have known them since 1981. Most of the people talk about Morten and Mag’s friendship, but very few talk about Mags and Paul’s, or Morten and Paul’s. So many people thinks that Morten can’t stand Paul, that Paul can’t stand him or Mags, and that Mags and Morten don’t like Paul. They know that Paul is more reserved in his words. And yes, I’ve seen the movie that it is been made. Like 90% of you say that the three of them hate each other and they can’t be in the same room. That Paul hates them. That he is so angry with everyone. But understand this… Paul have always been an introverted person. Get that real fact on your heads, please and stop saying that Paul is only interested in money and stop saying that he only wants Morten for his voice, on how money he can take. Please.
I remember reading an article of them in a Norwegian paper or magazine right before they blew up. They were in England and insisted they would make it. "Yeah, sure guys 😂 See you back here soon ". None of us believed it was possible for anything Norwegian to make it, especially in England & USA.
In Paul’s own words: "He (Morten) has given me self-confidence, encourages me to talk to people, not to be afraid and to use the abilities I have. Morten is actually the only one in Norway who had as much ambition as I did. I guess we both have big egos. In a way, we're each sitting in our own little world, while Mags is more down to earth. Mags often has to mediate between Morten and me... It's good that we're so different and still respect each other. The tension between us is creative." Not a fan, but I think that Paul’s admiration for Morten is tremendously big. Maybe Paul looked at him like an older brother. Thanks to Morten, Paul started to talk to more people.
