Good going with the flat! Just a suggestion for trimming. I think copper would look more cohesive. And, I would paint the small section of wall between the bottom of the upper cupboard and the tile with black paint. It will make it "disapear" as part of the cupbaord. Looking great so far.
The kitchen sink/back-splash looks so pretty, Sadie. I think copper trim would look the best with it. It's such a small space, and having the gold or black colors might break it up visually. The copper would give it a more polished and streamlined look. You're doing great work, Sadie. I hope you have a peaceful weekend! 🙏💌💝💖💗💕
That is some STUBBORN SKIRTING BOARD, Sadie. Well done . My vote is for COPPER TRIM. otherwise it will look to broken up, not framed in black please. Less is more in interior design ✨️ Your kitchen and fittings are modern and classy. The copper tile and beautiful gold tap are like jewelry ✨️ in the room. Don't overdo it. Any more sparkle or glitz can be added with your accessories and equipment. Perhaps a small Italian espresso maker in copper. The key word being SMALL! Again beautiful musical accompaniment. Thanks Sadie. ✅️ You are making great strides in your reno. Have a good weekend. 💜🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎💜
May I make a small suggestion for removing the skirting or other old wood trim: use a pry bar they come in different lengths. I'm sure one of the men will have one somewhere.😊
Gold. The faucet pops and I think that will frame it. Love the colors. I'm 76 and repainting my kitchen. I should have it done in a couple of weeks. My other half chose yellow. Time for a change.❤
These design ideas will date very quickly like the 60 ‘s & 70 ‘s designs… think mission brown and avocado green amongst other stuff… but if you like it… all good!, whatever floats your boat as they say… personally I think it is an insult to the architecture of the listed convent building
I really love your music choices Sadie, they set a mood beautifully. The painting was a nice way to round out the week, a small but important finish for the room. We painted a bedroom a very similar colour. Use black for your edge, as you say, it will frame the copper very well. Enjoy your weekend, you richly deserve it!
I would definitely go with the COPPER. The black molding would look good, but I think it would shrink the appearance of the space closing in that copper backsplash.
I'm thinking copper. And Sadie, the tiles by the window need to be regrouted. On video, the white is showing. From experience, you need a heavy hand grouting tile. You have worked so hard in that apartment. Great job, girl!!!!
Hi Sadie, I think copper would look beautiful...black might box it in too much, but I'm sure whatever you do it will look great! Loving the music choices. Have a really beautiful weekend! Take care, lots of love Kathy x🌸🌺
The copper trim would look better for the tiles. It will give a more elegant and persistent look. Great work, Sadie, the apartment is starting to look awesome.
I’d go with the copper edging. That lovely backsplash needs nothing more to set it off. I guess the brass would work too, but definitely not the black.
Black trim would be nice. Also a piece of wooden trim perhaps to bridge/close that gap at the bottoms of the cabinet where it meets the wall. A much neater finish and should stop flies from accumulating behind that upper cabinet. You could paint it to match the wall even before putting it in place and just touch up afterwards.
Sadie, always start at the end of a board when taking it off the wall. It's much easier to pry. You need a flat crowbar. You are doing a great job. You can always get a small piece of trim and paint it whatever color suits you and hold it up to see what you prefer.
Black, light Pink and Copper. Lovely Colorsheme ! As for the Edging of the Coppertiles, I would try out stuff. Like buy all the 3 possibilities and bring back the ones which havent worked out. And, will this Edging cover the little softpink Stripe under the cabinet? I hope so, this looks a bit 'not necessary'. But just saying... I'm sure you will figure it out ! ; ) have a great Weekend Sadie!
Copper is the way to go. Nice and tidy, the best way to clean it up and give that finnished and elegant look. Anything else will look like you just ran out of copper.
I think I’d go with black it will tie everything together tiles are awesome and black frame will go well with the cabinets above a modern rich and sophisticated look😊 Your doing great job and its great to see you so fearless in taking on things you have never done before. Look forward to each video Thanks for sharing your journey with us👍😁
Ryan also had a ton of trouble with baseboards in the apartment. It’s as if between the 60s and 90s, French carpenters were plotting against the future owners!
Without seeing an example of the edging and finishing, my guess would be black edging 😊 See how far you've come in days now that you've ditched that toxic male energy! Well done Sadie angel!! Lovely to see you blooming again! You're looking wonderful, by the way! Prayers, love and good energy being sent to you from me. Big hugs. Well done! 😊😊👍😁👍🤗😘💕💕
Hi Sadie, I think the black boarder would be nice. Look at you, pulling off that skirting board. You have renovations in your blood. Well done, be very proud of yourself. Go enjoy your weekend. Much love from N.Y.
Those skirting boards were hard work. I think what’s most important is when you trim the backsplash with what ever the material of your choice is that you don’t end up with a strip of pink paint. The same color as the cabinets would be best. Hang in there you will get through this.❤
After seeing Ryan tackling the removal of the Convent apartment skirting boards, and now you as well, I'm thinking that's what has helped hold the old place together! I've never seen anything hold on to the wall like that!! 😂 Go Sadie! 💪😊
My advicewould be to use a black edging. It will continuity and fit with the black kitchen. A gold trim will not be as noticable. It will mest into the background without making a statement. Whatever you choose I look forward to see the flat evolve with time. ❤
I would take a test piece of each colour and put them up against the edge nearest the window. Thinking of the Window dressings blinds/curtains. I would also run the edging the up the height of the wall not just the tile edge, If you only want to do the tile edge then you need to go with copper to match the tiles. The edge nearest the window will decide for you. You've got this Sadie!
I think black trim would transition the copper back splash to the black cabinets nicely. You’re looking happy and healthy! Glad to see you posting videos again!!
Black edges will look great, the work you are doing on your own may seem over whelming, but you can do it, believe in yourself you are doing a grand job❤
It will be an incredible home and with the lovely convent library and grounds right next to you to enjoy. All your work will pay off in Beauty and your own cozy nest.
I think the black would be awesome. It would tie in with the cabinets and the grout. It would give it a more modern look imo. You’re doing a fantastic job!!! You’re inspiring me to do some work around my house.
Maybe getting a small piece of moulding underneath your cupboard to cover the assembly and make a nice finish for your lovely splashback. I think black would work better to frame the underside and other surround for the tiling. Good on you for getting all that old skirting boards off and sure vinegar and dish soap or a mold remover.
Concerned about the damp and black mold - get some tips on how to deal with that before you paint, etc. (May have been why someone asked if Billy had fixed the roof.)
Love that song!! Grout looks Great!! I thought GOLD, only because it would be a softer transition from tile to wall. I think the black might just block it off too much....my 2 cents....😉
Copper trim in the Back Splash tiles is a more 'tradional' look, but me personally, think a nice Black edging would look great. Make it as wide as it needs to be to take it up to the same level as the overhead cupboards and it will give it a nice clean finish of the copper tiles and the start of the cabinets.
Yes, black, Sadie...frame it like a picture frame to go with cabinets...You are so correct. It will then disappear and not come forward...Try it out on a play-diagram to experiment and see for yourself. Billy's computer can do it for you. Happy try-out...Always love your vids..animals or not.
Sadie, your perseverance is great!! Copper around the tiles, and I would agree with your viewer saying painting under the cupboard black not the pink, makes it more uniform. Looking great! Well done!
Well done Sadie, good to see you just jump in and get it done I admire your fortitude. One door closes another one opens. In my experience normally for the better. 👍👍👍😉😀
Black or copper trim around tiles. Maybe black or pink wall paint for a finish trim underneath the cabinet edge. Amazing progress removing the baseboards! Your place will be fabulous when done if any indication of the stunning kitchen! I have to say you and Billy choose the best music for your videos.
