Tbh, I was too scared to do it as well and I just did the basement shortcut. Even then I was scared for some reason. I did actually play it legit in online co op and it was actually really easy and not scary at all. It's hard to get caught by Vanessa if you just run.

Oh, I have Outlast on Steam actually. 22:07 No, you don't have to do this level. There's a build-in skip in the basement, just enter the ventilation shaft in the left room and you'll directly go to the attic where the time piece is located.

Hat Kid is the most adorable and lovable protagonist ever. She's also probably the most innocent protagonist in any real video game ever. Yes, she has a knife in her toybox, shouts burn maniacally when dealing with fire spirits, beats the living peck out of everything with an umbrella, and sometimes says "goodbye cruel world" when Vanessa catches her. But honestly, we don't know her full story, she probably has really good reasons for all those things.
