A Haunted Church In Victoria Boys School Reality Or Rumours? 

Loved the video. I was a student of the school in 1998. A good school. Its not a haunted place. People spread rumors because the buildings in the school are very old and it looks like old mansions. Thanks Joan. Would love to visit the school again.

Well done bro... am an ex-student. 1992 batch... The best place and best years of my life were spent in Downhill and Victoria School.... The problem is nothing but lack of maintenance.... It's a huge property and being a govt school it's running at its own pace.... Can't blame the church or the buildings for the negligence of the govt or management.

I am an ex- student and have studied there for 6 years , and in all those years i have not found a single creepy or "haunted" instance. The church is not haunted at all, actually it opens every year to conduct exams. So that place is perfectly fine and thanks to #joan_rai , thanks for spreading the message.👍🏻👍🏻🙏

Nice video! I am just now in Kurseong, today I visited this church, but unfortunately they don't allow us to enter into the premises! But the beauty of this place is just awesome! Someone told me that there is nothing to visit in Kurseong, but it is better than any place in Darjeeling district

My older sister did all her schooling in Dow Hill. I first went to Dow Hill as a junior in 1955 and then moved over to Victoria Boys School the following year. My father John Watson went their as a boarder as did his two brothers Donald and George Watson. The latter was also school headboy. Their names are on the wooden carved school plaques that were hung in the main assembly hall showing the senior Cambridge exam for their respective year. The headmaster at the time that I was there was a Mr Bloud and I was summoned by him to the main hall on one occasion when the school crest had been taken down to be cleaned and I was shown my father's name on the back and Mr Bloud explained that my father had carved the wooden crest. I attended the Anglican school church every Sunday and the highlight was seeing the girls from Dow Hill as well as my sister Heather Watson. We all knew and heard about the church being supposedly haunted. My dormitory was the building to the right of the church in the video and on a few occasions when we'd be walking back from the dining hall back to the dormitory we'd see candlelight through the church windows and the sound of the organ playing. I should mention that back then the church organ was operated manually and had a long wooden handle that was in a cubicle to the right of the organ. I was the only Anglican boy at the time and was called upon to pump it on some occasions (stop that sniggering at once or you'll be writing out a hundred lines 😁). If I didn't keep pumping the sound would start warbling a bit and I'd get a stern look from the woman playing the organ and I'd have to put my back into it a bit more 🙄😁 On the odd occasion on our way back to the dormitory early evening (it got dark fairly early) some of us, me included would walk up the path to the church but as soon as we'd get to the big doors the music would stop and the place would be in total darkness. Really used to give us the creeps but we still loved it. Btw I couldn't believe that the metal bell tower was still standing after all these years. I've sat under it and in the grounds during Sumner afternoons listening to the cicadas. Thanks for sharing the videos, they brought back lots of memories, not all of them happy ones I might add but lots of good times too 🙏

I hav never been to Kurseong.. but looking at video is looks like a beautiful place.. lovely hill station... Good job.. for clearing doubts of its a haunted place. .. would love ❤️ to visit this...all places hav their history that doesn't mean it's a haunted place...

I visited Kurseong long time back.. and today again I visited. Some of the driver told us that the church is haunted. I went near it.. and went through the pine forests.. I found the forest so serene.. I came back searching through the internet if the place really haunted.. and came across this video.. nice endeavour guys keep it up.. Kurseong is really wonderful place..

Good job initiated. I studied since 1977( Standard IV) & ended up by attending my ICSE examination on March 1984. I was a remarkable player in Table Tennis & used to represent from my school for inter-school competition & different other competitions too Table Tennis board(Tiger brand), billiards board were present inside the for indoor sports recreation. Even at those time there were few such fake news, but we never believed in it. My 7 years of schooling in Victoria never ever happened to hear or face any such incident. So how can anyone establish such fake version without any evidence? I recall especially a year in school i.e. in the year 1979 when we celebrated A Centenary year(100 years) & I was in standard VI. Thanks for recalling in me those magnificent days

Subscribed I am from dow hill, n I stay in school quater, near school office. School is not hunted, it looks spooky and creepy at night though, I love dow hill my birthday place. 🥰

I was a student of Victoria for 5 years. Haunted stuff is all bullshit. Actually I don't even know when that rumors started. I was there till 1971 December, and nothing of the sort. No rumors even. Forget about headless stuff. We even walked that road from kurseong all the way up to the school at midnight, through the forest.

Why is it abandoned if it isn't a haunted church? Why do tourists have to get permission to enter? It should be available to enter with fees charges as to see how things were back then, that could generate the local economy.

You are absolutely right bro. All the rumours are just bullshit. I worked in Darjeeling so I have visits this place two three times. I found that place absolutely beautiful, not hunted at all. But some people or channels are doing negative publicity, which is bad.

Nice vlog bro. This is my birth place. Me and my friends used to play cricket in Victoria ground. As far as the hunted story is concerned there are many myths and facts. Although me and my friend didn't see the ghost but..... Sometimes we feel their presence. We used to roam in and around Victoria and downhill roads late night , you know what i mean we surely feel their presence. It was very scary.
