Actually there are entire videos online that are boldly named ,,Why K-pop Idols don't make their own money'' . At the end this is a huge all devouring industry and they are still treated like musical assets unfortunately with huge debts to pay for their training days. Obviously it depends on the company, some are harsher (YG,SM) and some are not so much (JYP). What is giving hope and really draws in is the fun loving amazing aegyo boosted personalities and immense talent with both girls and boy groups. Someday they will get passed this and the whole outlook will improve , but we (getting rid of toxic fandoms) and they (stop treating everything like a machine and a production line) still have a long way till there.
