Politicans in office, homeless on the rise, crime on the rise, veterans need help, cost of living, high taxes, Lahaina need help, solve the big problems, and stop worrying about the signs.

I love those chalkboard signs. They're artwork. Leave them alone. They should ban those political signs with the crook politicians. If those crook politicians can have signs, then businesses should have the right for chalkboard signs.

Isn't illegal only if it's blocking the sidewalk, handicap access, or if something is. offensive? But otherwise leave the signs.

An outdated ordinance should be corrected not enforced. What's the goal more sidewalk room for ladies of the evening ? Wow did they make a complaint or the homeless ? The more small businesses close less tax revenues and less appealing to tourists . The economy is not healthy since pandemic. Hard to recover and they do not need state obstacles.

How can this be legal? And what about churches? They have their signs out all the time. I was told it was only supposed to be the day of the service. Then was told the day before the service. Now many of them leave them out all the time. BE fair!

I think the reason many are homeless are because they can't hold a job for whatever reason. What if they use the sign as a weapon? Or run away with the sign? Do you really think the homeless would make good employees?

But will that avoid the Waikiki loiter laws? Like when your car breaks down on the side of the road so you slap a FOR SALE sign on to prevent a ticket and get towed? Jk that's an old idea that's just bad for business

They aren’t just for tourists they help locals too. Ridiculous they do things to make it tougher for businesses. It’s like they have zero sense.

Those signs have looked horrible for the past years. Thankfully, the eyesore signs are gone. They really made the area slum like. I feel for the businesses that leased space where there is no foot traffic. i also understand they made that business decision. Tough spot. Maybe get a dancing shrimp or dancing hotdog out front?

@manateemilk1 stick to the topic. Most portable signs are eyesore. Political signs and realtor signs included. More housing would be great, but this video is about signs.

It’s all about the money people! Look at who’s lobbying for these type of laws and follow the money trail. Hint: it’s the REAL reason why they’re going after TikTok..
