M/S's of L/S's a crofter in the Highlands of Scotland using a strange implement to remove turf from the ground. The commentator says that this is done so as to get to the peat underneath which is used for fuel.
M/S of the crofter digging out the peat with a spade. The crofter then caries the fuel away in a large basket which is fastened to his back. M/S of the the block of peat hanging up outside a croft. M/S of a woman using a spinning wheel outside the building. M/S of a man using a scythe. L/S's of a the picturesque countryside. M/S of a young smartly dressed couple making their way through the countryside to church.
