One of the best things about You Tube is that we get to see these great artists as real human beings. The mythological figures our minds conjured up from press photos, concerts, album art, and fan magazines don't really do justice to who the real person is, was, and is becoming. I would love to have been able to penetrate the veil that from behind, all these geniuses lived lives, and in the process, created music. I think I could have got along with a lot of them quite well, and maybe we could have made each other laugh.
It's too bad that there weren't a few more Yes films made back in the 70s with more behind the scenes footage of Rick Wakeman. I mean, he was already kind of a hero to us Prog Rock fans, but this kind of stuff would've made him a legend to every high school Rocker kid who ever attended a midnight concert movie double feature.
Sky ~ Have you seen the 3 part ''Going for the One - Sessions''? There's clips of the whole group recording the album, and bantering through it. That's where this clip is from. Wakey is my favourite just by default because of the keys, but the rise of the internet showed us _just how much_ those ''tee vee'' arseholes were sitting on! lf you missed something .....TOO BAD! But l get it! We could watch everything Rick ever did behind the scenes, and never get board! xD
@@theresa42213 I just started looking for behind the scenes footage of Yes. As far as professionally made concert films, I saw Yessongs once, a long time ago. Otherwise, I've only seen various random concert videos on RU-vid. Fortunately, I had the great pleasure of actually seeing Yes play live on four different tours, back in the 70s.
@@skybluemarshall ~ Oh GREAT! Well here's the link to part one, you can find the others, and they're an hour long each! Enjoy! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v1qJ0bkHlHo.html
