She probably thinks those are only rookie shops and her family thought her better than that "Hump! This childs don't even know to run a business" which to me is even funnier
I can't believe you never touched on Anna's supports in FE warriors. Especially the celica one which references the fact that they never had an Anna so she is the first Anna that Celica meets which is just so cute
That is cute. I never got her in warriors because I'm bad at warriors so I didn't get her supports I guess I could have looked them up on the wiki though
"Anna isn't in Gaiden or SoV because she doesn't like bad video games." But Anna is in Blazing Blade... Dani Doyle thinks FE7 is a not bad video game confirmed.
Ironically, that actually also mean that a literal *HALF* of entire Fire Emblem series are shit, half of them are from Marth and Valentia is only a boat away
Quick summary of Anna in FeH from a recovering gacha player: She's a commander of the Askran army and basically just one of the lords. She's not that important to the story, kinda just chipping in when things happen. She still often tries to use some get rich quick schemes but I think it's going towards the army's coffers rather than just to her, but she's definitely still greedy.
I don't recall noticing when I originally played Engage, but Anna's End card, the other Annas she's running up to appear to have the designs from the prior playable Annas. you can clearly see the one behind the other one has Awakening's Trickster outfit look. A neat touch.
I don't think it's mentioned ingame but there is outside material saying Loptyr was an Earth Dragon from Archanea. A guy from Jugdral travelled there, made a blood pact with him, and returned to Jugdral to create the Loptrian Empire.
Jugdral being in the same world as Archanea and Valentia is confirmed. Naga plays a part in Jugdral's backstory and Loptous is an Earth Dragon. Their calendars can be aligned, by the fact, that Loptous went to Jugdral during the war between the divine and earth dragons, making, FE4&5 take place ca. 1000 years before FE1,2&3.
The votes that chose which characters were ported to Fates were actually a pair of Japanese-only POPULARITY polls, of which originally were to decide which characters would get CGs for two of Awakening's DLCs. There was a poll for both the first main generation and then the secondary future child generation. The top two men and top two women for each got the CGs, and the kids one just gave all of them blue hair dye for the CG so they wouldn't need a million hair colours despite the fact that neither Owain or Severa could even HAVE that blue. Chrom and Lucina did end up within their generation's selections, so when it came time for Fates and they for some reason decided to include fan favourite characters, I think they rather logically figured that Chrom and Lucina were just too important to Awakening to include them, but then the others from those polls got to go forward to Fates.
@@Olimario34_ That would explain why all the child units are tied to their fathers in Fates rather than their mothers like in Awakening. Maybe Mpreg is the norm in Ifia / Fateslandia.
Funnily enough, there is actually also a separate character referred to as Anna in TearRing Saga that isn't the Secret Shop lady. (And yes, she also has red-ish hair, and the name in Katakana is written アンナ) Between Chapters 36 and 37, Runan and his party drops by a town called Rimne (where the Water Shrine is located) to ask about a certain female character's whereabouts. Rimne is the last place the player can shop for weapons and items in the main campaign before the final stretch of maps. If Meriel or Rishel (or both) is in the party, they have a scene with a "Sister Anna" where they also discuss this character's whereabouts. In dialogue it is implied that Meriel and Rishel grew up in Rimne and this Sister Anna is someone familiar to them. If Rishel died, there is also a scene in the epilogue between Enteh and Meriel where Meriel says that she'll be living with Sister Anna in Rimne. Meriel canonically becomes the next Water Sage as long as she's alive so presumably she always goes back to Rimne where the Water Shrine is, but this comment about living with Anna is only mentioned if Rishel is dead (Note that if Rishel is alive he becomes the Fire Sage at Salia so the siblings part ways anyways).
I’m happy you touched on how these Engage Anna “zero to hero/growth units” aren’t supposed to be the peak of peaks usually, but she’s fun to use because “free” money and big magic number goes up! As for her personality, I’m fine with different Anna’s being either very selfish and capitalist, with others being more jokey types who don’t care about the sale, or even a merchant with a deeper goal trying to get back to her family. That’s fun! I’m a big fan of Engage Anna, I hope the next playable Anna we get will be one who’s closer to the older Anna’s though. Maybe Jake can make an appearance??? That would be cute!
I love the Annas so much, the way they made them a canon massive family of clones like nurse joy to account for her being omnipresent across timelines is extremely funny to me. Awakening was my first introduction to her though, so I didn’t have the past versions to compare with. Edit: mekkah got the secret shop in thracia in his reverse recruitment playthrough, and it was instrumental to the success by letting his staffers actually have 100% hit on heal and etc, peak humor
Playable Anna's neat, feel like her characterization gets better every playable appearance, 3H Anna even has a few fun lines (i think its cool she knew Jeralt, unexpected bit if sympathy after jeralt does the jeralt thing)
I think part of what makes Engage Anna one of the more charming playable Annas is also that she has a lot of pride in her products, so much so that in one of her supports, I think her Hortensia one, when she believes one of her products was defective she reluctantly offers a refund. She might be a capitalist but she still has integrity in Engage
to elaborate on Heroes Anna a bit (I stopped playing FEH years ago so anyone who's up to date can correct me on stuff), I do unfortunately have to say something positive about the gacha game because like Engage they do more with her than evil con artist; she's the commander of the order of heroes and in the main story takes a Seth-like mentor role to the lords Alfonse and Sharena, and her money-making schemes are relegated to non-main story content while having the added context that she's trying to fund the army she's in charge of that said, and anyone who still plays this game can correct me if I'm wrong, from what I understand on a cursory look at the game from after I stopped playing + what other people have told me, Anna seems to have become less relevant in the story over time in favor of The Alfonse Show feat. whoever the poster girl of the current arc is (and sometimes Veronica)
The only thing I can add is that I think they kinda stopped using Anna (and the other lords) in the side story stuff, so it's mostly just the mentor role nowadays.
It's (probably) nothing more than a funny coincidence, but the Dragon Quest 3 Female Merchant actually looks quite similar to Anna. The DQ3 Merchant is actually the character with the most character development (and it happens entirely off-screen). During your travel, you end up in an open field when some old guy ask your merchant to help him start a town. Soon enough, it becomes a huge city, a commercial center full of rare deals. But this come at a cost, as the Merchant becomes increasingly greedy. And the population grows so angry they end up starting a coup and putting them into prison (in the remake, they eventually get out and decide to joins back your party and let the people runs the city on their own).
I love Anna throughout the series and would like her to be a playable character often, or at least play some role in every game. I also have incorporated her into my D&D campaigns. She’s a trickster god in my setting and she shows up in odd places to give hints and sell magic items to the players.
Its funny how with the male robin support we can infer that Old Anna characterization is a cause of living happily with Jake as boyfriend that may her appreciate some other things but money (hence the secret shop ideas)
I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but I believe that the characters from Awakening that are brought into Fates were picked because they were the top three of their respective generations on character popularity polls in Japan.
Awakening's Anna might be a money grubbing penny pincher, but she IS the ride or die Anna that joined your army specifically because she wanted to, with no strings attached, even when the world was ending. She wants to make a long term buck, yes, but she is very much one of the best Annas rivalling gremlin Anna from Engage.
The best thing about siege spells in Three Houses is equipping them so that your unit can contribute to linked attacks from 10+ tiles away and it helps Dorothea and Mortal Savant Hilda the most because they have so many supports. Its the one good thing 3H Anna could do and they went and gave no supports so she can't do that. Generationally ass unit
I feel like you should have mentioned apotheosis anna since she is the strongest boss in the series as far as im aware, also FE 1,2,3,4,5,13 all take place in the same universe with the deadlords and weapons they drop being from fe4, verdanes lake drying up could also explain the desert though fe4 would be before fe1. if you want to really strech it tellius also fits in as first in the timeline and taking place in verdane/plegia with the taguel being the last laguz and manaketes being dragon laguz that chose to use stone to transform possibly since as seen in gameplay laguz and the most consistantly capable fighters with there laguz bar and all. Also Priam exists and ragnell is in much worse shape than any other weapons that we see other than the redesigned ones. Also awakening mystletainn is the best mystlerainn design. Finally I would highly recommend downloading the awaken dlc so you can try out the more fun builds that chacters can have sch as getting a bunch of breaker skills or doing robin x aversa for shadow gift morgan, or try nowi x donnel and have nah grab arms thrift and sol hop back into manakete and you will barely ever have to re equip her and she will be very hard to kill with these growth hp 133 str 81 mag 53 ski l78 spd 76 luk 91 def 78 res 65
So for some context for Anna in Cipher, you are correct in that she has never really been good before or after the change, but part of that was due to just how bad the original 2 Annas with the self-support skill had. It was more than likely moved away from when they wanted to make more "real" Anna cards for FEH Anna and being able to play any number of a card in your deck, as opposed to 4 of each, and being able to self support can break things very fast. Though these days she does have a funny gimmick deck built around Medallion, a powerful card with a normally huge risk involved that Anna completely ignores due to that 100 worlds skill
As for TMS#FE, that Anna is not explicitly stated to even be "Anna" just a girl who happens to look exatly like her that works at a convenience store. The costume shop worker is also modeled after Cath from FE6 while being just a normal person who happens to look like them. The other Anna that appears wears a Black Frost mask and is very much aware of the Idolasphere and shows up in them and has you do quests for her that involve going in them. It really only goes as far as being a cute easter egg and reference to have her there as TMS likes to do given its nature. Also minus points for the TMS slander
41:57... that was written... certainly *in a way* anyways, anna... yeah a weird character, made to be an easter egg/tutorial character then eventually put into the role of playable character * everywhere *. the issue here is that anna is recognised by veteran players of FE, so making her playable even after awakening was probably just to catch the eyes of older players as a way to just nostalgia shove them into playing the newer games. capitalist anna is funny as a child and you won't convince me otherwise.
Something I find mildly amusing in Awakening is that Anna features as the final boss of the secret battle path of the Apotheosis DLC, with monstrous stats and Aether, Dragonskin and Rightful God included in her skillset. That whole DLC is basically 'grind your parties for this challenge' which probably does not interest many at this point, but it is somewhat amusing nonethless. 3H Anna is kind of bad but I do find it intriguing that she is the sole unit that can autolevel beyond the timeskip while non-recruited if one has the DLC and imo it is a facet of hers that is somewhat underexplored. I suppose this leaves people to play her as a prepromote sort of unit as you go along without having to train her. Her personal stats can get kind of high, though she autolevels swords and bows so realistically she is only going Swordmaster or Assassin this way, or maybe as a dedicated Thief if you want one with a high Speed stat. Not having had monastery investment (in terms of instructions etc) and lack of supports does hurt her but I keep wondering if maybe there is a certain use case for a unit like this. That said, there is a time window if you want to play her paralogue (except in Silver Snow where the paralogue is completely inaccessible), but most people don't like playing her paralogue.
Her 3H paralogue is a weird one. If you pick Blue Lions or Golden Deer, it's a pre-timeskip one (and you only have 3 chapters where it can be done), while if you pick Black Eagles, it becomes a post-timeskip one, and for whatever reason, it's a shared one with Jeritza (what he has to do with Anna is anyone's guess), so it's Crimson Flower only.
Instead of hearing Anna/tiki support i misheard it as "Anna tehee" and honestly that how i feel about her awakenning version, getting money and tehees her way out with scams.
32:46 I heavily disagree with you here. If anything, Anna prior to Awakening barely had a personality, being tied to the Secret Shop limited her and her Easter Eggs appearances were she wasn't connected to it were too few and far in-between and all of them were just this basic "hurr durr I can see the 4th Wall, meet Jake" spiel and nothing else. There was nothing to her. In Awakening, though, she was a full-fleshed character. She had interests but also she could see beyond them, as can be seen in the Event Space quote if Anna married Male Robin. That more could have been done with her? Sure, but she wasn't downgraded in Awakening, I can feel your nostalgia bias speaking at that point.
I have a screenshot of Anna running the secret shop from the one time I went there so unless project manster changes the game to put her there (which would be a weird change and I assume not one they made), I think it's safe to say that she runs the shop
Making anna playable for Awakening was a cute little thing because that was supposed to be the final game but it got really stale and corny after that, personally. Her relationship with Jake is also sweet and the modern iterations all seemed to cut that
@@SweaterPuppys I agree, she was mostly up to interpretation but it was always nice to encounter her every once in a while and know she had her own story taking place that we just couldn’t see. Her being playable in the new games takes away from it. At least to me, she’s less interesting. I know others love her more now.
Anna going from goofy and chaotic merchant to an evil money hungry gremlin that seeks only money and tricks their friends to try to make money is a lesson in the evils of capitalism and why Anna is the worst character in all games from Awakening to Engage
re: 8:56 This section is wrong. Anna appears when you suspend the game(or at least it's a character that looks a lot like her) and is not the shopkeeper of the Chapter 24 secret shop. The secret shop is run by the same shopkeeper as the rest of the game's stores. I wasn't sure if my memory was right, but luckily I had a save file at chapter 24 with the member card I could check.
I had this on in the background, listening to it like a podcast, and I randomly turned the video back on around the 10 minute mark and all I see on my screen is Leif hitting the gangnam style. Truly this is peak Fire Emblem.
One thing you've gotta remember is that Awakening was hit massively by Localizers. The job-killing line in Tiki's Support, for example, is replacing Anna just going "aarrgh, c'mon..." It's not the Japanese who ruined her characterization in the West, it was the West all along.
Engage Anna I think is probably the best one next to the Pre awakening one. Like you said, they humanized her again after awakening, but I also feel that she simultaneously emphasizes the money portion of Anna from modern FE while also trying something else. Like you said for engage, she won’t immediately give you bank for your buck, but what’s interesting here is that the fact she requires money to make work whether it’s forges or reclassing, it fits her character that you’re spending all this money for a goofy side character, when Anna started off making goofy secret shops selling you useful or broken items. Her being a growth trainee unit goes into this a lot too, you’re spending more money and resources for her to become Awakening Anna strong, and doing so rewards you with just silly fun. You won’t get the same joy seeing 500g 9 times from a massive Soren Engage Attack if you don’t spend money on her, she offers her own set of goofy fun which is the illusion of bonus monetary gain. She combines the fun of seeing numbers going up after dumping stat boosters you bought from the Anna Secret shop in previous games with the fun of getting occasional bonus money from it all. It’s goofy, silly, and fun. While you can argue this sentiment is shared with other units, the difference is that Anna contributed in previous games for your favorite units to become powerful. You can’t get a maxed out Nino without Anna, and now Anna can’t become a nuclear warhead without that same money. It’s cool imo
You actually did mention Anna's 3H Personal skill at 50:05, but then you said that you forgot to mention it at 53:45. I guess her personal skill was just *so* forgettable that you didn't remember talking about it lmaoooo, I don't blame you tbh. And to fill in your inquiry about FEH Anna, she isn't really that important? Like she talks a decent amount, sure, but she doesn't really do a whole lot that's unique, she's just kind of a generic face that exposits things. Like she could be replaced with any character and nothing would change. I haven't played it in a solid couple years but I can only assume nothing has changed on that front. Anyways, good video! Solid overview of the character and how she's changed with both the ups and downs.
Wait... so its possible that every possible vatiation on a Fire Emblem story is its own world in the multiverse. And they can cross over and interact. Does Anna somehow make Fire Emblem Heroes the most canon Fire Emblem?!
BRO I'VE BEEN PLAYING FE7 FOR 20 YEARS AND I ONLY JUST NOW LEARNED THAT THERE'S A SECOND SECRET SHOP IN DRAGON'S GATE? I ONLY KNEW ABOUT THE BOTTOM RIGHT ONE
The skulltulas and anna shops in the nintendo warriors games don't reference anything exact but in a lotta dynasty warriors games, especially older ones, maps usually have secret objectives that unlock stronger weapons and equippable items if done. I.e going to a specific spot on the map to trigger a fire attack on an enemy base
You are overthinking Asugi, Caeldori, and Rhajat. They're just weird kids that happen to look like Awakening characters. They're completely separate entities that were made to capitalize on popular Awakening characters. At most Rhajat implies she might reincarnate as Tharja but thats about it (Fates takes places in ancient history compared to Awakening given the Before Awakening DLC shows Chrom is aware of Nohr and Hoshido as being kingdoms of old legend. It's weird).
Me with a suspiciously large corckboard, red string, and messy hair: no, I'm not overthinking, you're under thinking! They're the secret to solving the zero emblem. I'm so close! So close!
Considering Gaius, Cordelia and Tharja are very popular in their games, can't hardly blame them when they added Inigo, Owain and Severa in the flesh. Something something Japan popularity pool. Not complaining, I like them very much.
I think I remember a dialogue in Heroes that proved your theory of each game being a distinct universe (even games set in the same universe) correct but I don't remember where I heard it
Book 1 of Feh covers this idea to great extent! And alts of, for example, Male Robin and Female Robin also confirm that each gendered version of a game is from a different universe--same for the universes where male and female robin respectively succumb to Grima's curse. Fallen Rhea, for example (her Silver Snow version) also existing while Fallen Edelgard (her Azure Moon version) further implies as far as FEH cosmology is concerned that all possibilities of each and every game exist in a near-infinite (if not actually infinite) multiverse. The same is further implied when, for example, you have versions of Corrin that followed Nohr, versions that followed Hoshido, and even one that took the Revelations route, all in the same game.
She has Apothecary and therefore Merchant as a reclass option, but I think the idea behind Outlaw is that Adventurer is kinda the fates equivalent to Trickster to match Awakening? It’s strange anyways
"For better or worse Awakening didn't marked the end of the series". Like comon, even as a joke, it's impossible to argue that FE still existin post Awakening is a bad thing
I disagree. FEH has done concrete harm to the world, and awakening, fates and engage all have sexualized minors. Combine this with the weird anti-semitic stuff in three houses and the misogyny in sov and I think it's very possible to make the argument FE has more negatives the positives
@@DaniDoyle Just out of curiosity since i haven't played those games, what's the antisemitic stuff in 3h and misogyny in sov? Also is the misogyny unique to sov or is it in the og fe2 as well?
@@DaniDoyle Fire Emblem is neither the source of these issues, and they're not there as a core part of the series. I hate that they exist as well, and the sooner we get rid of happy child soldiers, sexualized minors, and bigotry, the better, but a great games series ceasing to exist because it sometimes reflects bad parts of our culture or society, or the demands of a certain market audience, instead of advocating for it's improvement is not a solution to anything. And I'm not trying to attack you personally or anything btw, I like your content I just think it's a little too much to argue that we might be better off without FE from 13 onwards.
@@bunny_wilder you're allowed to like the fire emblem series I like the fire emblem series but refusing to acknowledge negative parts of the fire emblem series especially ones as extreme as the things I mentioned is just not a mature way to engage with media. The claim that fire emblem featuring sexualized minors, racism, predatory business practices "isn't fire emblems fault" is baffling. The game series isn't alive you don't need to play defense words most abhorrent qualities. 🤦🏻♀️
Anna is far from being Cid, and Fe is far from being FF. The first 3 continents have been known as being part of the same world for a little while now. Naga and Salamander are deities that are shared between Archanea and Jugdral, with Naga also shared with Valentia. And Tear Ring Saga was the game that was supposed to bring to light many secrets from the last 5ish games... until Kaga had to edit and change a lot of aspects from this original idea. ;-; Not to forget, the whitewing sisters appear in Valentia before Mystery.
Something I dont get is why Fates made Anna a Outlaw when the Merchant class is right there. It really just feels like an "awakening but again" moment, which fates has a lot of.
My Anna headcanon is that there's a separate Anna universe that delivers an Anna into a FE universe when it gets created. And the reason Gaiden and Echoes didn't get theirs it's because they're Archanea sequels. I guess for Awakening what happened is that the previous Anna died at some point in the timeskip so the Anna universe had to bring in another one, and compensated by having her actually capable of fighting. Which is what it's been doing since then.
7:57 I appreciate a recurring character existing across universes in a series. Even though we only have 2 so far, I love Mikk and Makk in Octopath Traveler, and if we get a 3rd game, I hope we see them show up again.
My favorite one is still Asagi in the Disgaea franchise. Despite being the same character with the same basic joke (her game was cancelled, so she's trying to become a main character), she changes her voice actress (and her personality) every time
Awakening Anna makes Awakening feel like a non-world. Like who the hell are her parents that are having all these kids, that they name the same thing and they’re virtually identical. And Anna is 1 of 2 NPCs that you’ll frequently see, so awakening is filled entirely with the normal shop keeper (is he clones too?) and copies of Anna. It jumps the line from easter egg to one of the more prominent things about the game. It’s impossible to miss. You can’t just tack on a multi-dimensional family of clones with thousands of members onto a story and act like it doesn’t matter.
I never really thought of the Elibe Anna and Jake as being the same as the Akaneia/Jugdral one, because I feel like Anna wasn't established as a dimension-hopper until Awakening, and Elibe is definitely a separate world to Akaneia/Jugdral. But it's an interesting thought in the light of Awakening. Also, PAL Shadow Dragon names Larabel "Aimee" for consistency with Tellius. Same reason PAL RD kept "Deghinsea" and "Kysha" from all versions of PoR, I guess - the PAL localisers favoured consistency with previous entries. I do really dislike Anna's characterisation in modern FE, especially the Fates/TH model of "you have to buy her as DLC because haha funny money meme". I also hate the Awakening thing where there are no less than TWELVE Annas with specific roles on maps or in story events, not counting the Secret Sellers that spawn on the world map and can potentially join in on skirmishes. I do like the idea of Anna being Robin's bride and naming both her children "Morgan" because she can't cope with siblings having different names, but "Anna" doesn't work for a boy. :-p
I actually think there is a mistake on the logic that she was not always after money. Most of this is due to how in the past there was limited dialogue with her in the first place given her status as a merchant. Little info on how she acted toward others outside of set situations are known so she could of easily been greedy but only was more fair due to the war. In contrast I find anna in awakening and after to be far more natural to her character or a more believable character at the very least. While it is true that she does talk about money a bit too much at times it is more believable given her occupation. That said I feel that the issue you have is less about anna and more on the idea that they made a multiverse in general but I am not sure. Also in the tokyo mirage sessions the girl in the shop might not technically be anna. The girl does look like her but just like the characters can combine in a way with mirages the anna in the shop is kind this anna like girls mirage at least that is what I think anyway.
I mean, she explicitly tells Marth that she isn't interested in the extra money from not making her shop secret which to me indicates that she's not just into money, since the awakening fates 3H Anna would jump at the opportunity for more cash
@@DaniDoyle I can see that but there is some things to consider. Given this is a time of war that could easily put her out of business and that her boyfriend is in the war one could say that the reason she does not care for the money is due to the personal investment and worry. It is kinda funny how the money grubbing anna just so happens to be in the games when she is single meaning that without her boyfriend she would be more selfish when it comes to cash than she plays off. I wanted to point out the idea that she acts differently early due to the fact that she is not a playable character with a lot of lore just an npc that pops in and out meaning they did not have as much for her but later when they came up with the anna we know in say three houses they expanded on her even if it is only generic money grubbing. That said while I can't say much for awakening you did openly say that in one of the secret shops she sells you merch that really was not helping you meaning that could be seen as greedy with her getting rid of junk but that is open to interpretation. For me the tree houses one is my favorite tho I do not see her as all money grubbing given the dialogue most people miss such as how she feels when you father dies. I feel that she is actively helping other but needs money and a lot of it to do so.
@@nathanmcclung3564 I feel that most Annas are quite different, but the exposition on their characters are flawed or small. Original Anna is cool but very little of her character and Jake is shown, and it gets muddier every iteration since then. Goes then to Awakening when she is actively asking to be put into the roster, no strings attached, she is going to make bank but she WILL ride or die with you. Fates goes similar, less supports, focused more on money, she is the most nasty of the bunch so far, even if the previous one did make Ed Edd and Eddy schemes. Warriors Anna is actually very nice, she smells money a mile away but she is very fond of her allies, she has some supports that, while simple, shine a little of light about that. 3H Anna is VERY professional, at least compared to the other ones, she is the most business-like and seems much older than she looks considering crest users have long life and she knew Jeralt, she actually feels a bit detached, even if sad, when disaster happens, considering her number of supports, makes sense. Engage Anna is the most developed one as the reasons listed in the video, that gremlin is amazing.
New to the series- is fe: awakening dialogue this bad because of translations or is it just like that? Cause I've heard the 3DS games suffer from 'wacky funny' nintendo translation
I find it amusing that you just so casually talked about Fates as if mpreg was happening. Like I wouldn't neccessarily put it past Fates to have canonical mpreg, but I'm pretty sure that's not canon lmao- I know the men determine who the child is this time, but that doesn't mean that suddenly mpreg.
Tbh before seeing Awakening/Fates Anna compared to her earlier appearances I actually thought she was neat in those games simply because she well... appeared in earlier games and had a gimmick which was kinda funny I guess. But it does feel kinda meh seeing her reduced to money talk when looked at alongside her earlier appearances. (As someone who used to play feh for a bit) In the main story she feels very generic. Simply being the commander of the army, without much depth. (It's feh so eh) If it wasn't for her being... well Anna, she existing in the main story is just outright forgettable. In the side chapters when commander Anna appears... she is... just awakening Anna with money jokes. And pretty gross sometimes at that. (For example wanting to take pictures of heroes on the beach to sell the pictures for money...which somehow didn't happen just once???) 50:26 but she doesn't have any supports even with byleth? She has her own paralouge though
I don't believe most FE games take place in their own worlds, I KNOW they do. Dragon Gates in Awakening established this. Also, counterargument. I like the multiverse/AU characters. It's a fun way to have characters reappear and be playable/interactable. Playable Anna is best Anna. Argument debunked.
I think Tiki is hella based love Anna getting mad at her for getting shut down its great... also FE3H doesnt have ANY Anna supports... but yes glad Anne from Engadge is great I would like more new Annas that are all actually different.
