How was Spain any worse to Cuba than it was to any one other Latin American country? Why does single itself out? -because its is an island.

I am Costa Rican so I am not clueless about Latin American History; I am curious to know what the Spanish did you you good people that they did not to the rest of us. Yes you were last to go. What else? Men came, took land & women; priests made us Christian; creoles tended 2b upper class and the pure natives were decimated; truth is, we are all mestizos and we all got the worse & best what then Spain.
