I really like the "religious" Conquistador Vampires of Ixalan, but my favorite card is probably blood artist. That drain mechanic is just so nice and synergistic in many decks.

The thought of Ryan becoming a vampire and changing into a bat while retaining the mustache makes me laugh lol

Krovikan Vampire should be reprinted into Standard, not just because it could be fun in a janky Golgari deck with a bunch of fight spells, but because Quinton Hoover's art here, as everywhere else, is amazing. RIP

Not even a footnote mention of Baron Sengir and the Homelands iteration of vampires. I'm pretty sure Irini Sengir is the only Dwarf Vampire in the lore, which is something.

My favorite vampires are the Legion of Dusk on Ixalan and the Tarkir vampires. They both are extremely evocative and have cool imagery that has really stuck with me. My favorite vampire card is Odric Blood Cursed, and while I know it’s not a good card, I love Odric’s character so much and the story about the card that came out recently was absolutely fantastic (plus a friend and I had a friendly wager on which character would be a vampire and I immediately chose Odric)

There was 1 vampire in green before stryxhaven. Rayami, first of the fallen. And I think Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge is an interesting design space for mind vampires and I’m a little sad neither was mentioned

Drana is my favorite vampire. The art on the zendikar rising is incredible

My favorite vampire was the secret patron of a D&D actual play party, taking part in Ravnica, pre-WAR, trying to find out information about Planeswalkers, with their existence not being common knowledge in the setting. The party was framed for busting into someplace and killing a bunch of Azorius or Boros. The Advokist their patron provided took a different tack than expected. Instead of trying to prove them innocent, he admitted guilt to murder but went to prove that with the danger and life expectancy of the job, the low pay of the positions, and using the prosecution's own evidence of the bodies showed the Orzhov's going rate for such corpses, negotiated it all down to a minor fine.

I spat out my drink at “they’re all… snappy dressers” cuz it’s soooo true! You won’t ever EVER catch a vamp on any plane all looking all bummy lol

Vampire of the Dire Moon is still my favorite. I play mostly in paper but she was my favorite card on Arena while learning. A simple deathtouch lifelink 1/1 for 1 tends to be a really fun toy to give to a beginner and I still like using 1 mana deathtouch cards to this day.

The new Edgar Markov is probably my favorite vampire. If not the new baron sengir. But the flip into a artifact that flips back into a creature is very cool.

Great video! I will go with one that I only recently discovered. Necropolis Regent. Pretty sweet if you attack en mass and all of your creatures suddenly get MUCH larger lol.

I'm overwhelmed by the basic lands in Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow. Um, really like the blood token mechanic as some tasty vampiric flavor.

I think it's really cool that Tarkir vampires are so different/weird, because many eastern cultures have varying vampire myths that are very different from the western archetype.

My thoughts on vampire tropes: throwing something like rice on the floor, in some myths, causes them to stop until all of it is counted. And other times they can’t cross running water. Don’t know how they would implement these oddly specific weaknesses into the game, but they are a part of some lore.

Great video as always! I was thinking that I would love to se a history of dual lands, its a would be a bit different from the other videos in the series, but I think it would be pretty interesting!

My fav vampire currently is Slaughter Specialist in my Grismold deck. Let me tell you having a 2 mana 10/10 on turn 3 feels great (T1 Illness in the Ranks, T2 Slaughter Specialist, T3 Grismold)

love the video, favorite creature tribe! however there is a bit of a factual error: the first green vampire was Rayami, First of the Fallen, from C19. Rayami is the first zendikari vampire and progenitor of all vampires on the plane. But she was an isolated case, so GB vampires in Strixhaven were first real inclusion of green vampires in any significant way in magic, especially because it was a standard-legal set

I had a video suggestion. It was originally a history of Ashiok, but I feel like we don't know enough about them for their own video, so maybe a history of Ashiok and other Horrors?

Treacherous Vampire and Erdwal Ripper are some of my favorites. I like my vampires lanky and awkward.

There are way too many vampires I love to choose just one, but Timothar from the new commander deck is the first time I've truly loved the design of a "bat transformation" Vampire. What a slam dunk!

I like Baron Sengir. Homelands sucked as a set but the idea of the Baron preparing an army to invade through a portal only for the story to never be mentioned again is the real tragedy.

From a flavour perspective I dislike how Vampires have Lifelink, I think they should have an ability similar to Abattoir Ghoul.

When I ordered into the AM it was smaller than others so I believe its not american sizes this was years ago
