You’ve joined at a great time in history. Though P/W are not in vogue right now. You have the complete history which the original owners didn’t know how there watches would be placed in history. I myself love railroad watches. Buy them now why’ll they are inexpensive. And save them. Remember all horological fans know. The real beauty was on the INSIDE. So welcome.

Bravo, Bob…Bravo. That took a lot of time and effort to research and produce and for that, we thank you. This was highly interesting, informative, and entertaining…well, to some of us, anyway. Also, I think that anyone who payed rapt attention to the end, can now safely describe themselves as a “watch nerd.” If the shoe fits….LOL. Thanks, Bob…great job.

7.40 Galileo determined that “a pendulum would swing at a constant rate regardless of its length “. Not true. Long pendulums swing more slowly than short pendulums, you regulate the time on a long case clock by moving the pendulum weight up to speed up the clock or down to slow it down. Maybe you meant that any particular length of pendulum will swing at a constant rate?

BC and AD are the calendar we use. What is BCE and CE? There is no clock or calendar made with those times. Excellent video other than that and very informative.

Moving your hand in water doesn’t increase appreciably the pressure on the watch! The difference is a fraction of a percentage. Unless you can move your hand at tremendous speeds which we as humans are nowhere close to! Is a myth being perpetuated for so many years... if you read some watch forums, there have been people who made the calculations to disprove this myth.
@adventureswithtime
