In this video I'm on my bike riding down Lowell Street where we'll check out some Pre-War Old World Architecture. In these cycling videos I'm not going into any great detail about the history as these cycling videos are being filmed just to document the current time period for future generations to enjoy.

The halfway house that is located across from the St Joseph Church was used for church celebrations. After the church services, my family and I would walk across the street to celebrate someone’s birthday, or a holiday with other church members. Thank you for showing us videos of Manchester NH.

I used to live in that green building at the corner of Walnut and Lowell. Just moved about a month ago.

have you done a video on 43 Walnut Street? I have been in there. Guess it was used as a hospital at one point way back in the day. Built 1900.

The brick building at St. Joseph's church was/is the residence for the priests and also for the Bishop of the diocese. I grew up on the next street over directly behind it. (Concord St.)

I hate when they replace the old windows with ones that are flat on the home so awful 😞

9:44 i rember the the microwave horn antenna were still on that tower above citizens bank. Just an electronics geek but love the history of Manchester. When i fisrt got my license it was my favori e place to drive around and see the history. Its sad to see the building ruined, drugs, himeless, vinyl siding etc but its hotstor willl be preserves one way or another and you are helping. I really hope some of the remaing historical building/mills/houses are restored and upkept. I hate seeing history demolished to put up a starucks or the flood of slumlords destryoing a 100+ year old house with vinyl onle to rent to drug users. The city was once so prosperous and hate to see it decline but it is what it is. Keep the videos coming 👍

Ironically I was almost going to mention that antenna in the video as it's a landmark that hopefully gets preserved . But yes , the city is in a decline just like most American cities as hopefully a drastic change happens in the near future as it's needed. Slumlords and real estate investment companies are a HUGE problem as all they care about is profit. City officials need to create laws that force these slumlords to take care of their properties or face heavy fines as they can easily afford to maintain properties as just one 3 tenant apartment building typically generates $4500-$6000 per month in rent. I know a contractor that works for a slumlord as tenants move out, this particular slumlord rents at least a dozen section 8 apartments in the worse parts of the city and gets $2,200 per unit , as these apartments are run down dumps. I hate to say it but when the neighborhood becomes a dump , the rats move in. Yes I know that many are just hard working decent people in these neighborhoods, but it only takes a few bad people to plant the seeds to ruin a neighborhood .
