True 😂 the ending literally happened when shit was finally getting good i thought the song playing was gomna transition into an epic scene instead we got the credits roll.
The look on Hesh's face as the song is ending is perfect. There is nothing worse than someone asking you to appraise a work they have created, or wholeheartedly endorsed, and then being presented with a piece of work that is manifestly crap. Hesh has expressed the awkwardness of this predicament superbly.
Frank Barbaro Look how red his face is when he's done with the song, too...great acting. You can tell the actor worked hard to lock in that expression of pain and embarrassment.
Been there. You WANT to like it. You know your friend put their heart n’ soul into it and worked hard on it. The worst is when they think it’s great. I get the vibe here that Chris really knows the song is lame, but doesn’t want to admit Adriana failed and it cost him $$$ and embarrassment.
@@rustyshackleford6874 nah there's plenty of good new music. It's easier than ever for a musician to record at their home and upload their work to the internet. A lot of it isn't good but there's so many people that a lot of it is good.
@@garrettwilson9664 you make a good point. But honestly throw enough shit out there and what you get is water down garbage. Years ago you needed talent to even get a chance now like you say just throw anything out there and hope something catches on. It’s only going to get worst.
And you think this is a hit? This chicanery? Oh he would've done worse. That lazy song writing. Do you really think someone just happens to compose like that? No! He made them use coke! Christopher!
The irony in this scene is genius. The song playing at the end is Dori Hartley - Nobody Loves me but you (1996). It was anything but a hit, in fact it doesn’t even exist on Spotify. But it damn well should have been a hit.
at first I thought Christopher was listening to Visiting Day in that scene, and I thought not great but not bad, could have potential. Kind of a Brett Michaels sound to the voice (hey Poison wrote 'hits' ) then oh yea, not Visiting day.
Massive genius and then there is this massive hunk of shit of a song. Meow duh duh dun meow duh dun dun meow 🐱 I like melt and even though Sharon’s chair wasn’t recorded in Denmark a hit is a hit.
_“Fine, great. He’s a great writer. However there’s one constant to the music business. A hit is a hit, and this my friend, is not a hit.”_ - Hesh Rabkin
the whole point of this arc I think was to show Chris never really was in the right environment to fulfill his dreams. Hesh was only "legitimate" media person in that entire circle who actually had chops in the music and entertainment industry to help Chris out fulfill his dreams as either a producer or filmmaker. Genius was clearly another gangster who was just playing with Chris to maybe hit on Adrianna, Carmine Jr. was a moron who released a mediocre straight to DVD film, and his other actor/writer friends were too scared or dismissive of him because he was in the mob.
Genius was just another gangster? LOL, you weren't watching the same show I was watching. Genius was just a guy who came up the hard way and made something of himself... whatever dabbling in illicit activities he may have had in the past (and we really don't know he had any) happened a while ago. What do you think the whole point of his threatening legal action against Hesh was in terms of who we were being told he was? Genius was a pretend gangster, using that image to advance his rather big music career; the Sopranos (Chris, for example) were the real gangsters.
@Lajos Nagy "So that "ooh wacka do wacka dooley do I'm so blue" that spring from your experience, or the little brother's?" "We had our own process." I have been waiting 7 months for someone to respond hahaha. Thank you friend.
Whoever wrote Hesh's lines knew what they were writing about. Check out the main riff of "Foxy Lady" (by Jimi Hendrix for you heathens), now that's a HEAVY ass riff right there! KK Downing of Judas Priest said the same thing in an interview. God damn Hendrix was so ahead of everyone else it ain't even funny.
A good way to get peoples opinions too well atleast back when i used to rap n shit... make a mix cd and throw your song on it somewhere... if it sucks itll get skipped.. but if someone vibes with it n ask "Whos this? What song is this?" U know u got somethin good
