And I totally think you should cast on the boyland colour work sweater, so I can vicariously live through your project. :)
Hi Molly! I just finished the Fairyhill Shawl by Helen Stewart. . and am getting my needles ready to cast on Donna Yacino's Abayomi (which is a pattern in Berroco Quechua pattern booklet #389. It is always nice to sit with my tea and listen to all your projects, yarn dying, and family activities. I think your quilt is beautiful.
It is nice to hear that you're visiting my country. Although usually August is our official month for summer vacation and crowds of people are by the sea, I still believe that you will enjoy staying here. This year for me was full of pullovers ( I think I knit so far 6 or 7) so I am planning to knit some shawls. So, I plan to knit Waiting for Rain by Sylvia McFadden for my mom, who has her birthday end of September. Since it is my vacation time as well, hopefully I will have it ready for her by end of August! Enjoy Greece and the sea!

Hi Molly, from Durand, Michigan, USA! I want to cast on the Bexley's pullover, I think it will be an easy knit for an older new knitter. I was taught by my mother fifty years ago, when I was 10 years old. Six months ago, I started watching podcasts and decided to try knitting again.
I too am going to Greece in 3 weeks, we are doing a boat and bike tour. Can't wait to see the islands! There are so many things I want to cast on, but like you I don't have the yarn yet! I am itching to make a sweater, probably the Pavement. I also want to make a brioche cowl for my daughter for Christmas. Just need to learn how first :)
Was lovely to see you again. I will cast on a baby surprise jacket next, for a grandnephew who has grown out of his premature born size one (which makes us all so happy). I will use the same yarn (white, grey, turquoise Alpaca) but with the yarn held double.
Everybody is so excited about Stephen West patterns that I finally decided to try one of his patterns. I chose the Smooth Move shawl to be my next project. Already ordered some hand dyed yarn for this project that goes along perfectly with some of the yarn I have in my stash. The only thing that keeps me from directly diving into shawl knitting is that I don't have a ball winder. Luckily I have a knitting friend near me who owns a winder so I can't wait to visit her next week and cake up all that yarn. :D P.S.: I LOVE the bright stripe of the electric feels colour way in your Penguono! It just emanates happiness and excitement!
Those Gingerbread socks are beautiful! It sounds like you had a great day with the family. I'm looking forward to the weather cooling down here in the next couple of months so that being outside is more pleasant. My next cast on with be the Junior Varsity sweater for my older son (and then casting on one for my younger son).

Hi Molly, just an hour ago l bought a quilting machine from Pffaf! Though l believe Bernina is also a good choice. My next jumper will be a Birkin. All swatched up and ready to start in the morning, 'cos it needs to be finished before September So l can join the Knit along with Skeindeer and the Mauris jumper. Have a great holiday.
I think my next garment cast on will be a Pavement sweater, or maybe the Soirée sweater, I have yarn ready for both. My next shawl is going to be Oracle by Kristen Lehrer of the Yarngasm podcast. I have some beautiful BFL/silk just perfect for that pattern.
I'm casting on West's Exploration Station (I know, late to the party) in the Seattle Seahawk colors. Go Hawks! It will be my first brioche. I like your idea of casting on Kemper's yarn for a faded sweater. I'm sure it will be beautiful. Have a great trip to Greece.

I've already been swatching for my Sunset Highway sweater but I'm now waiting for the postman to deliver my skein of charcoal grey so I can continue my other grey wasn't enough of a contrast with the other two yoke colours. I'm planning to cast on the So Faded pullover next. I just got my yarn for that last week and some new needles as well. I think you should cast on the So Faded, as you mentioned, too!
I've just ordered yarn to cast on light trails by Suvi Simola. It's my first sweater which I'm super excited about. I also desperately want to knit a penguono but I want to build up a bit of stash first to make it with. One day! Absolutely love your podcast :)

This weekend I bought the pattern for the pistachio ice cream shawl by Brenda Castiel. I only need to finish my Inaya poncho by Drops first to free up the needles. I'm knitting with interchangeables but I don't want to take the needles off, afraid that doing so will send the poncho into deep hibernation. And I want to wear the poncho in Greece in October.
I would suggest "Goldfinch" by Andrea Mowry or "Tailwind" by Clara Falk 😍 Love all your color ways they are gorgeous. I hope we get to see your finished sewing projects they sound wonderful

bernina is definitely a brilliant choice ! i've got two (sewing and overlock) for so many years and sewed and quilted all clothes and quilts. perfect for quilting is the walking foot by bernina. i think it's nr. 50 obertransportfuß :-)
My next cast on is the marled magic shawl! I cannot wait. Before I do that I have to finish the reis sweater by stephen west :) You should knit it. It is so much fun! I used a bunch of leftovers and I am marling it all together :) The sunset highway sweater is also one of my wips. It is a beautiful pattern aswell.
I'm new to knitting and I'm obsessed with knitting socks....honestly my next cast on will be the well known Hermione's every day socks. I've been crocheting for 7 years though and my next crochet project is The Cloud Spotting Top by a Spoonful of Yarn :)

Good afternoon, Molly. Yesterday I cast on Cottage Creations' Wonderful Wallaby sweater, so I was knitting on it while viewing. What a coincidence. It is a hooded sweater with a pouch in front, great for kids, so maybe you would like it? I realized when looking it over that I had received one as a gift for my eldest son as a baby, and he wore it quite a lot. Have a great vacation! Jealous. 💕

No matter what machine you get, it would be good to use a walking foot for sewing on thicker fabrics-like quilts. I use a Viking machine though most of my friends use Bernina.

I would really really love to cast on a vodka on the rocks by baby cocktails. I have the most perfect maple coloured wool/alpaca blend yarn but not enough hands or time! I wonder if you've seen the shore Cardigan by Carrie bostock hoge. It's super simple, there's an adult and kid version, but it is the cosiest sweater and the simplest knit. Mine is my winter uniform. I'm thinking of casting on a pair of Skeindeer's colourwork mittens. I'm also looking for a beginning knitter sweater pattern. I've been looking on Ravelry but I'm not sure what to pick. If you or anyone else has a suggestion, I'd definitely check it out.

As a former professional quilter, it's the basting glue in the batting hosing up the machine. Any matching can be adjusted in the pressure for pressure area, even old ones. I would not accept glue basted quilts as it would gummup my professional LongArm machine. Fwiw.
