Aaah completely with you on the birds Molly. It wasn't until I moved to a house that had birds a few years ago that I understood the fascination. Now obsessed! A lovely way to spend an hour with you, thank you for sharing x
Thank you! Such a lovely surprise to have the opportunity to see/share your life a bit with us. Look forward to the next. . Thanks again for this treat...love the birds.
Molly, so glad you are enjoying a nice family summer. Thanks for sharing your update. I always look forward to your vids. I'll have to check out Kemper's pattern. I have a skein of HPC yarn I want to make a shawl with. That might be the perfect pattern for it. I'll have to order a contrasting colorway for it. Have a nice upcoming visit with your parents. It is good that they are able to travel to see you and the family. Make lots of memories!
So nice to catch up on your summer activities. I totally felt for you when you spoke about ripping out part of your sweater. I just ripped out an entire yoke and it was so depressing. Your cats are adorable, too.
Uuughhh. Sometimes frogging can be soooo sad. Especially when knitting time is so precious. I hope that whatever you frogged came from amazing yarn. It makes the re-knitting so much easier ;)
I thought you were in Europe at first when I saw the beginning where you were filming the houses in the street! It reminded me of Austria where I lived for a time.. very beautiful! New subscriber :)
Now that you are interested in knitting the So Faded pullover/jumper, I hope you will consider making up kits. I want very much to make one, but am terrible at picking out color ways for it. A few other dyers put together kits, but I missed out on them :(
Hi Molly, it was so nice to see your new video. Thank you so much! Your natural hair color is really pretty! Where at the Baltic Sea did you stay? Was it in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern or in Schleswig-Holstein? I love the sea. My family and I should go there more often! I always forget that it is not so far away. But I grew up in Berlin during the cold war and back then it took much longer to go to the Baltic Sea. Henriette
Molly! Go to Wollen and check out their new Lino Muka linen yarn. One of the owners is producing it and it is GORGEOUS! The colors are amazing. It's a very light weight but I'm playing with holding it double and am working on finding a gauge I like and then I think I will make the Tulip tank by purl soho. And...50g is only 5€ so it's crazy affordable!
Hi Molly, thanks for mentioning my So Faded pullover! I totally feel you on keeping the house cool during summer in Germany (I live on the 3rd and 4th floors of an apartment building and it gets so hot so fast!!)
Your pullover is definitely a treasure ;) And yes...we live on the rooftop and have roof windows all over. They are sooo pretty, but can get quite warm in the summer !
I just learned this recently from another podcaster- when starting the Kitchner, do not do the set up stitches, just start in with the usual pattern. At the end, do not work the last stitch on each needle. Just slip them off (you will have already done the set-up on these so they are connected and will not unravel).
Hi Molly, So lovely to spend some time with you! Could you tell me the name of the pattern of the sweater you are knitting with the textured yoke? Thank you!
