One of my favorite old things I remember reading regarding the final phase of the final boss went like this: "The story of Pizza Tower isnt one about a man saving his restaurant, its the story of what happens when you push a patient man to his breaking point" I cant remember where I read it, but god its such a funny yet true quote
they probably named it ancient cheese as a reference to the fact that in real life, really old cheese supposedly tastes better, so people actually age cheese for a living
That bye bye at the end deadass gave me chills, holy shit this video is so well written and recorded and edited and OH MY GOD I LOVE IT! Fantastic job on this fantastic review for this fantastic game.

Dammit I can't believe I didn't put in the info for the Boxed and Pepper Pizza transformations. I did make them but they completely slipped my mind. Thanks for these timestamps though!
@@spectern You still did a great review with a chefslike montage that have ben worth somebody to wait. Funny enough that game made me try pizza for real and I'm kinda glad for it.
44:04 I don't know if this line was intentionally referencing Pizza Time Never Ends (which, for anyone who doesn't know, is the title of Fake Peppino's boss theme in Phases 1 and 2 before the chase). If so, clever; if not, hey, accidental reference! Lol. Either way, great overview. Edit: Also, wrt the Creepy Pasta title, I think they were sorta sticking to the spaghetti motif that Pizzascape/scare share. Hot Spaghetti, Cold Spaghetti, Bone-In Spaghetti... But you're right, Creepy Pasta/Creepypasta (I think the former stylization works better as a song title) is a MUCH cooler and funnier title 😭 Edit again sorry: ayo did I see that you spared Snotty? Based.
The thing about fun farm was that it kind of felt simultaneously on and off theme in the game. I think taking this game in the context of being a spiritual successor to Warioland 4, though, I really appreciate its presence, as it honestly is only one of two levels (the other being golf) that feels straight out of Warioland 4’s topaz passage in a game admittedly quite saturated with levels that’d be at home in sapphire passage. I appreciate it for balancing things a little bit.
The in the first face of the pizzaface fight, it's worth it to mach run because how else are you gonna dodge seven different attacks at once other than to just stop the enemies from attacking at all
First playthrough definitely will take some amount of time to beat. The fun part about Pizza Tower though is if you do replay it, you eventually just completely breeze through levels. I noticed in my first playthrough, I would barely make it to the end of the levels without even doing Lap 2, and then later playthroughs, I would sometimes end up finishing Lap 2 with time to spare. It's definitely a game you can notice your mastery improving over time.
Bro the f-king Vigilante Boss ALMOST MADE ME GIVE UP LIKE HOLY BALLS, IT WAS NOT AS BAD ON FAKE PEPPINO LIKE F-K FAKE PEPPINO BOSSFIGHT LIKE I CAN’T SEE SH-T ON WHATS GOING ON IN THE SECOND PHASE
I played the sage demo years ago and loved and mastered it and I’m so glad the game is this good. To bad as of right now I can’t play the games as I don’t have a pc to play it on so I’ll have to wait for a PS4 port.
Omg i want to play it so bad at first i was worried i wouldn't like it but fir aome reason when i try to find it jn Xbox or switch it isnt there ao now j have like a personal vendetta i wiiiillllll play pizzzaaaa towerrrrr
17:39 the reason for this is because What’s on the kids menu wasn’t actually meant to be for fun farm, when it was created it was different, due to it originally belonging to Dont Make A Sound which used to be Kid’s Party, it was modified to fit Fun Farm better, but the original was quite creepy and did an amazing job at giving a good atmosphere to Don’t Make A Sound, I would have preferred if DMAS kept the original version, because the little we got of the original was really, really good.
47:46 He mentioned the obvious "Creepy Pasta" joke being missed... Man, it really *WAS* right there, wasn't it? Wish they made that joke to be honest. 51:27 "But knowing what the RU-vid comments section is like, I'd rather not take any chances." Very wise words... aspiring content creators take note of this.
the bomb is TECHNICALLY a transformation as it changes the tv screen and Peppino's moveset plus it can destroy stupid rats but its understandable to not count it
I remember playing this game when it was first release on January and finish the game in like 2 days, I’m still surprised I beated most of the bosses first try on my first ever play through. Pizza tower is surely a fun game. Really worth the money. However, our journey with Pizza tower is still not over. With mods, custom levels and fangames coming, this type of game will have infinite play.
A neat thing about RRF: on the second lap, the pepper pizza transformation is removed, forcing you to do lap 2 as normal peppino. This is one of only 2 levels with a real difference between lap 1 and lap 2, making it an interesting change of pace.
The second one is WAR I believe as it makes it so none of the destroyed time extenders are replaced and you have no shotgun. At least they don't replace the gun only destroyable blocks so that Lap 2 is doable.
the way you described the crumbling tower of pizza is exactly how i felt . i was streaming this to my friends as i was playing on my first try and got to the end with just 2 seconds left, just as the music ended. Probably the most memorable thing i wont forget about this game. When i look back at it im like - yeah that was cool
If I got a nickel for every time an iconic and loved game that has Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on steam that has 5 floors/worlds, defending your property against an evil man with a mech that has an army, is 2D, has an iconic protagonist, a game I love, has plenty of mods and fan base, and almost became Game of the year, I would have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
Just finished the whole thing. Great Video! Little mad that you don't like Oh Shit as much as I do, but that's your opinion. And I'm ok with that. Also wanted to say that War's Lap 2 is easily my favorite in the game. And you've got a lot of work to do if you want to match my 157 hours of playtime. You scrub. (JK plz don't hate me) Looking forward to more!
Thanks, I appreciate it! I did my best to give Oh Shit a fair shake, especially after P-Ranking it multiple times, but I found it hard to enjoy thanks to its problems. Nothin' wrong with you liking it, though! Oh, and I bet my playtime will keep climbing over the coming months, especially when big mods for the game finally release. Thanks again!
I feel like usually one would dedicate entire section to P-ranks, which makes it a bit weird hearing about it in the middle of Ancient Cheese and it being mentioned in the middle of Pizzascape. Not a complaint, just saying.
My original plan was for the review to be split into two parts; one video for the main review, and one video for the P-Ranks exclusively. In that P-Rank video I was going to review each level based exclusively on their P-Rank. I ended up dropping that video since it was just too much work. I do wish I talked about P-Ranks more considering how important they are to the game's identity, but I'm still happy with the review regardless.
"In your head, you might consider this level a final escape sequence of sorts... a panic to rush back to the beginning. But that can't be further from the truth. This level instills you with a feeling of power, like you're on top of the world and you're never coming down. The music is this energetic take on the pizza time that fills you with the power to take on anything the game throws at you. The crumbling tower of pizza is not a frantic escape. It's a victory lap. A victory lap that makes you look back on everything you've dealt with and when you reflect on your journey you'll find as only one thing you have left to say. Bye bye." That hits hard.
The reason fake peppino isn't that hard for me is because, as a Brazilian, i have the ability to look at two places at the same time in a screen, usually to watch a movie while reading the subtitles.
I'm sick of people calling oh shit the worst level in pizza tower, because peppibot factory is the most tedious level I've ever played in any video game.
As for me, Don't Make A Sound was the absolute worst level for me, being the biggest non-horror fan that i am... i was legitimately scared throughtout this level, my heart was beating so fast and i could feel it through my throat, and in my Swap Mode playthrough, i got jumpscared 3 times, and i was horrified... needless to say, this level left quite the mental scar in my head, and so i promised myself to never go back to this level ever again, even if i don't have an S or P-Rank in this level...
Lil correction: In the tv graphic of the ball transformation description, it says, PEPPERONI GOBLIN (+BOT) What I think it was trying to say is, PEPPERONI GOBLIN (+BAT) So uhhhhhh yah (^^)b
